In a way, if people did get free games with the price cut, then this weeks sales might be something of a false positive. Only time will tell.
Please, never use that gif again. I haven't been this uncomfortable and upset since the episode where the Ingalls family on 'Little House on the Prairie' ate the youngest child while snowed in during a blizzard.
Well they obviously weren't buying it at $250, which is the equivalent to $300 in Japanese Yen. So yeah it is kind of news, that the 3DS went from selling 20,000 to 25,000 a week to almost 200,000 more than that, in just one week, because of a price drop. Now in other news: Lets see if the PSVita can sell at that price and higher for the 3G version in Japan, later this year. That will be the real news story to look out for!
So the price drop didnt help the 3ds be number 1
But it should keep it there
Sites have over exaggerated the 3DS's lack of sales.
What are you talking about? It's been beaten several times by the PSP over that time-frame. For Example:
July 4-10
- PSP: 26,373 [DOWN] 3,492 (11.71%)
- 3DS: 22,943 [DOWN] 7,290 (24.11%)

June 20-26
1. PSP - 29,168
2. 3DS - 27,905

People will respect you more if you don't make things up. Besides that, it's not even important if it's in the top spot, because it SHOULD be beating the PSP.
Units sold after the price drop aren't eligible for those free games, so no, the sales increase wasn't due to the ambassador program.
