Any gamer with an interest in visiting Japan will most undoubtedly be aware of Super Potato, the famous retro game store in Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district. You might have even sen a few videos that tour the joint, but one more ain't going to kill ya, right?
In this latest vid, Scott Popular and Cheap Ass Gamer's CheapyD scout the joint for Dreamcasts with the SEGA President's face on the box, a Virtual Boy on demo display, and of course, a smattering of games that never made it over to the West. It's a short little number that clocks in around 5:30, but it's still a sweet taste for anyone in the midst of arranging their overseas travel plans.

That's how I found the place too. They always have old game music blaring out into the street from the window a few stories up.
While I'm not into retro gaming that much (unless it's on the Amiga, which wasn't very popular in Japan) there's so much stuff in that shop that would many people on here go wild. And a lot of it is cheap too!
I cruised the Nihombashi street in Den Den town and there's TWO Super Potato stores on the street and also some random retro store that had a Famicom copy of Bionic Commando in stock.
I've been three times now and I must say, in all ways, Osaka's Den Den Town is far better and more worth your time than Akihabara.
I regret I wasted so much time on Akihabara not knowing this until last month, but that's why I'm posting this here for you now. Go to Osaka. Go to Den Den Town. You will shit bricks.
Also Dotonbori will claim your soul.
