Japan keeps all the boobs for itself: Soul Calibur cover-up scandal? photo

We're dedicated to bringing you only the most relevant and hard-hitting weekend news, which is why we bring you grave word that Soul Calibur IV's Ivy might show a little less of her fat wobbly tits in the American version of the game than in the Japanese version -- JOURNALISM! The above image is a comparison shot, with the breasticle-laden Ivy on the left as she appears on the Japanese SC IV Web site, and the more modest Ivy on the right as she appears on the American site.

As someone who keeps abreast of these matters, I want to know what incompetent boob decided this. If mammary serves me correctly, this game has always been about the bare skin, so someone ought to nip it in the bud.

Namco Bandai, hear this! I demand that Ivy's lactoids be on display for all to see. We've already lost the fatalities in Mortal Kombat; we refuse to surrender our snuggle pups, loblollies and twangers. We deserve the sweater meat as much as any Japanese gamer. So help me God, I will destroy you if this is not resolved. Bops, tomatoes, chimichongas and kazongas.

Okay, I'm done.

Not trying to be gay, but the covered version looks better - more natural. The uncovered version looks like she sat down a McDonalds and forgot to leave.

Japanese version has better boobs, US version just looks better.

Also, I can't help but wonder if this is revenge for the most recent gaming internet meme. Don't you US people have enough beeg american teetees?

If you cant hear it , i am applauding the second paragraph....

As for the Lack of Boobage... i have never been one to overtly show my adoration for the assets of female game characters...

but man , this hurts deep down inside.... as unatural as they are... i hate to see em go!

And, another thing is why in Japan are things like 'nakedness on a cgi/doll' much more acceptable than anywhere else I wonder?

**Possible False Alarm**
All the videos and screens on the site have Ivy with boobies out. It could be that the Retarded ESRB wants it like this because the site is not age gated.

I love me some boobs, but honestly, the American version makes much more sense. I don't care what kind of physics your world has (and apparently, they're physics where a sword can block a lightsaber), but there is no way a thin strip of fabric is going to contain those monstrosities.

And you might be confusing this with Dead or Alive. Soul Calibur has actually had some restraint in tossing sweater meat on every character in the past, even Ivy. It puzzles me why they gave every girl ridiculous tits in this game.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now I'm gonna have to play Dead or Alive for my fanservice fix. Why, Namco, why? You can have Ms. Pac-man in the friggin' NUDE, but you can't give Ivy a tasteful bikini top?

Hmm.. perhaps Namco got nuthin to do with this; ESRB probably forced em to tone down the TnA in the American version of the game to appease the ultraconservative, the parents and JT..

Soul Calibur Boobage became rampant after SC2. In SC3 we had Tira, whose default costume looked like she was jumped in a dark alleyway, got the clothes in her upper half ripped, but decapitated the assailant with that large, circular blade thing she calls a "weapon" (how it's practical in a proper fight, i have no idea). I always thought that prior to SC3, jiggly physics was reserved to Taki. In SC3, you can bet that if a character had man-racks, it would flail around, wildly.

Fucking American values fearing nudity.

Hopefully this is just censored artwork for the website...? You know, if say, a kid stumbles upon it? Maybe the game itself won't be censored in the US...?

Bah... I like Ivy because her appearance/body is a lot more sensible than Taki or Kasumi having huge boobs--Ivy's a thirty-something meaty girl. A thirty-something who looks like a prostitute, granted, but still.

I think I'm going to relax for this now seeing as we have already seen ivy's boobs in videos and if I recall the announcement trailer for IV had like a zoom in on her boobs (I guess to show the realistic veins on them) so, I'm gonna go ahead and say in game there will be tits.
