According to Next Gen, Famitsu asked its readers what they thought the top 10 news stories of recent shows like E3 2007 and Tokyo's PlayStation Premiere were, and Nintendo's announcement of Wii Fit topped the list.
It looks like Japan is slightly more enthusiastic about the new Nintendo fitness peripheral than many of our readers and editors are. The Wii Fit software and board news even topped the impressive Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay demo, and that's not to mention the new Sony PlayStation Portable redesign or any other PS3 or Xbox 360 title announcement.
Other naturals like Sony's Home, Little Big Planet, and Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl also made the list, but another strange Nintendo peripheral, the Wii Zapper, managed to beat many of those out.
Are we really on a totally different page than Famitsu's readers?

But yeah WiiFit is they're kinda thing, the western gaming audience is more geared towards games like gears of war, they want action now.
Japan prefer minimalism, simplicity, and interaction rather then blind shooting.

lol @ Dale North I think I'm turning Japenese, I really think so.
"On Bizarro world, Wii-Fit interesting, actual game."
Like it or not, the videogame industry is evolving into something not everyone is comfortable with.
That is all.
Absolutely! And that`s a good thing. Keep it that way please.
WTF! "
Yeah man, anything that is competition with the DS is news worthy. Strangely enough Dee-ehss is the new Japanese word for God. Actually, that list looks alot like mine but add in Bee Suit Mario.
