Japan gets Chocobo Racing as a PSN download photo

The level of win in the photo above is somewhat beyond my ability to comprehend, but it seemed an ideal photo to use to celebrate the re-release of the Playstation 1 classic Chocobo Racing on PSN (well, in Japan anyway). I'd bitch about the US PSN selections, but they've been getting a lot better lately, so I'll just have to log on to my Japanese PSN account to get my hands on this.

Chocobo Racing joins Lunar Wing: The Crusade Across Time, Kula Quest and Fish Eyes II this week on PSN, all retailing for ¥600 ($7 US). I think I can do without a game called Fish Eyes II in my collection, but Chocobo Racing is a must get.

@Colette: I just made a UK account (suprisingly very easy) for the Killzone demo, but I was wanting to make a JP one next for all the awesome ps1 games..guessing they are all in Japanese though mostly? Stupid question, just wondering!

Yes Also, there's a guide online telling you how to sign up for it.

I hope Sony decided to allow imports. Nintendo has a bunch of imports (Gradius II, Sin & Punishment, etc.). I want to play Rakugaki Showtime on my PSP, Sony! Not to mention Japan has XENOGEARS!!

@Drack48- Mostly, but a lot of them you can navigate through with no real problems. I'd played Chocobo racing before so I know what I'm looking at anyway. I think you'll be fine!

Too bad Chocobo Racing is a very, very bad game if you don't put heavy retro goggles on.
