Japan gets a really boring Tales of Graces bundle photo

Oh hey! Look at that new Tales of Graces Wii bundle! It looks ... well, it looks exactly like the regular Wii. Sadly, although we don't have any photos of it yet, it looks as if this may be exactly what it's going to look like -- nothing special.

Siliconera reports that this bundle has been announced for a December 10th release and consist of the Wii console, the game and a Classic Controller Pro combo for 27,800 yen ($315). On its own, Tales of Graces is 7,329 yen ($83). Wait, WHAT? $83 for a Wii game? I liked it when I played it at TGS, but not $83 kind of liked it. We'll have to see how it gets priced when and if it gets a US release.

I'd be pissed, but I'd buy it. Definitly.

For all of their imagination, Nintendo sure is getting good at keeping it as sterile as an Operating Room, and that's not just describing the plain-jane look of the bundle.

I would have expected some color in there somewhere.

I know there's no photos, so don't start throwing tomatoes at me, I ain't your Fozzie Bear, alright?

I'm just stating that when it drops, it'll be with the same bland console that everyone has.

Middle fingers to Namco Bandai to thinking it's okay to charge $83 for yet another Tales game. Might as well wait, they'll probably end up release Tales of Graces 2.0 for PS3/360 in another 2 years...[ /spiteful lies ]

At the rate Namco-Bandai localizes Tales games, each one has roughly a 1/3 chance of leaving Japan....

Why do you hate us Namco-Bandai?

That's $83 after the exchange, number one. The dollar has been shit. Number two, Japan prices premium games out the ass. There really is no set retail value on anything over there.

ITT: Colette doesn't realize games are more expensive in Japan. Did you hear that Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is like fifty bucks or something? You might think that fifty bucks for a new DS game is whack, but the Japanese sure don't seem to.

Tales of Graces will be $50 when it comes out here, just like every other Wii game is. Keep your pants on.

Japan has open pricing on games. Companies can price games at whatever they believe will sell.

That price for Tales of Graces is pretty much average.
