James 'AVGN' Rolfe pits the SNES against the Genesis

As the Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe can be funny, crude, abrasive, or annoying, depending on who you're asking. But when he steps away from that persona and simply shares his childhood experiences, he's a pretty mellow and relatable dude.

When James decided it was time to make a video comparing the Super Nintendo to the Sega Genesis, he chose to speak as candidly as possible. We've all heard the arguments, and there's no doubt a wealth of literature on the net that breaks down the hard facts. James understands that too, which is why he decided to take a much more personal approach.

He actually made just such a comparison movie back when he was a youngster, and he edits said footage in order to humorously "interview" his younger self. He also tries his hand at making a 90s-style smear commercial in the vein of "Genesis does what Nintendon't." It's quite enjoyable.
