Assuming the first part of that post is a serious question, yes he does. He's just had less free time with the AVGN movie coming up. Which is why "Motherfucker" Mike Matai (or however it's spelt) toke the job of pumping out a bunch of game/movie reviews to fill space with the occasional James video.
He's been doing a lot more this past month or so.
On the topic of the video, I loved it. And him with his childhood self is hilarious.

I watched this yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. He hits the nail on the head when it came to Sega's advertising. I actually didn't know that the Genesis had a faster processor than the SNES, but that doesn't make up for everything else the SNES was technically better at.
Saw this yesterday and loved it. James is one of those people that I just enjoy watching, whether it be as the nerd or when he's talking about his childhood and monster movies.

The 16-bit console war was the best one, back in the days when exclusitivity meant something and there were actually games for both systems that the others never ever had.
Now I wish I could have seen Scrappy Doo's comment. Kind of, I fucking love Ratchet & Clank, no man be dissin' that shiz.

I bought a Genesis when it came out, freaking loved it. Then got a SNES about 3-4 years later when it had some great games like SFII. There was a 2 year release gap, so it made sense to get a Genesis to start, then get the SNES later on.
I think Seymour actually made him GTFO through sheer willpower.

That was a cute video. The guy's much more entertaining to watch when he's not manipulating the script to work in shit as much as possible. His other stuff isn't really bad, but the cartoonish crassness just gets in the way of his legitimately funny analysis.

Exactly my feelings (except I still have both). Each were terrific in their own right, each offered uniquely stylized experiences, each bring up certain memories that are unique to each console. My love for SEGA's titles were never weakened by their lack of technical beauty compared to the SNES, and my affection for SNES games were never tainted by their more 'home game' feel that weakened their arcade experiences compared to Genesis games.
I don't know, I just thought they were both great for different reasons.

SEGA GENESIS FTW MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!!!! lol i had owned a genesis as a kid and my grandma had a super at her house. so i got to enjoy both and both were great, but i'm biased toward the genesis.

Controllers have always been the deal breaker for me. Back then I had the hands of a child (unsurprising considering I was one) and so the SNES had a better fit for me. These days it's Sony that loses out with their ridiculously tiny controllers. I can only use one of those for about ten minutes before serious cramping sets in. It's a shame too as there are some games I'd like to play, but instead it gathers dust. Oh well. Genesis had some sweet stuff though for sure.... Naw, I still think the JRPG's on SNES are pretty much the best thing genre has ever had to offer, so it is blatantly better.
By the time SNES came out I was in college (sophomore). So I didn't care much. When I was a kid my dad bought me a Magnavox Odyssey 2 and I was jealous of the kids who had Atari. Eventually a friend of mine got a Colecovision and I got a TI-994A. In high shcool I had an Amiga. That was cool. I bought a Saturn and Playstation eventually. So goes life.
IF you had to grow up with just one, the SNES was the superior choice. Nintendo, Square, Enix, Rare. It's not a contest.

That's great how he uses one of the most annoying moments in gaming (Baby Mario's screaming) as a contrast to in his Sega commercial!
That self-made SEGA commercial had me rolling. I must've watched that part 3 times in a row.
I loved my Genesis so much. Vectorman, Sonic, X-Men, bloody MK.... the list goes on.

I had a Mega Drive. It was sweet. Classic Sonic and all that jazz.
The kid on the next block had a Super NES. It was sweet too. Super Mario World and all that good stuff.
When we were at my place, we played Sega. At his place we played Nintendo. But the funny thing was this: we both thought the others' system was better. Whenever we decided to play video games together, we'd want to play at each others houses. So usually we'd take turns, but whenever either one of us got a new game, the choice became obvious. And those new games always sparked the same conversation: "Man, this game is sweet. Sega/Nintendo always has better games, I wish I had a Sega/Nintendo too..."
Now, grown up, I gotta say Sega was better. Obviously. I mean, our house *was* a Sega house, after all. :)

I loved both, still love both.
That said however, I think the SNES is leap years better than the Genesis. It honestly trumps it seriously almost every conceivable way in my eyes. For one, and this has always bugged me, even as a kid. The sound card in the Genesis is fucking TRASH compared to that inside the SNES.
The SNES generally had better graphics, with much more detail. And it had Mode 7 graphics in some games, which as a kid absolutely blew my mind the first time I saw them.

@Xeo The YM2612 inside the Genesis was more powerful than the Soundblaster 16 and SEGA chose to use FM because the Genesis was designed with mostly arcade ports in mind. I had both, still love both. I just hate when people bash FM synthesis without understanding the mastery it takes to make it sound good.
Xeo: From a technical aspect I agree. The SNES was a better machine. But I had my Genesis before my SNES so there were some games I played that formed earlier memories that are still strong today. Games like Phantasy Star II and III, Sword of Vermillion, Moonwalker, Sonic and Shining Force.
After getting my SNES it seemed my Genesis was playing catch up a lot of the time. I still remember some awesome games though: Ecco the Dolphin, Earthworm Jim, Aladdin, Legend of Oasis, Mortal Kombat, Castlevania Bloodlines, Ranger-X, Phantasy Star IV.

God children are stupid, awful inarticulate things. I didn't even like being one. Anyway, I was a Genesis fan-boy as a kid, and I have no idea why. Years after the 16-bit days had drawn to a close, I actually got to play with some SNES games and found them to be fantastic, especially Super Metroid and LoZ. I don't think anyone can argue that Nintendo handily won that battle, if for no other reason than the fact that games like Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Mario Kart and DK Country, etc are still cultural gaming icons, whereas apart from Sonic, Sega's Genesis output didn't end up having much staying power.
For me, the Genesis always wins. So many great games, so many great memories. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the many fun titles on the SNES, though, especially if you include JP only releases (Dragon Quest V rules!).
