Jaime Lee Curtiss whips out the Wii

1:24 AM on 10.28.2006   |   Niero

JAIME LEE CURTIS.jpg Abuelita Jamie Lee Curtis pulled a Devo during the October 12th Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation's celebration of the 5,000th Fun Center at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Nintendo has provided for the program since 1992 and will be adding Wii systems in 2007, according to Nintendorks. He notes:
While diversion is the Fun Center's primary purpose, these entertainment centers do much more; they improve the quality of a pediatric patient's life," Paula Van Ness, CEO of Starlight Starbright, explained. Jamie Lee Curtis saw such improvement in action when her 5 year old son was hospitalized with a ruptured spleen around 2001. "The nurses rolled in a Starlight Starbright Fun Center, and he was completely transformed. His anxiety and pain gave way to happiness, playfulness and distraction," she said. Then her son passed away from too much happiness.
16-chappelle-roots-inside2.jpgGreat cause Jaime, you're an angel (and will be one soon, by the looks of it). What I want to know is what the hell this woman was playing on the Wii ... did EA add Dave Chappelle's ROOTS to their launch lineup?
