Good news, Mortal Kombat fans; the series' original four-armed demon boss and emerald clad lady-ninja are coming back for round 9. The latest issue of Game Informer has confirmed their appearance, but I wont be showing you scans from the magazine. To see them in action, you'll have to pick it up the latest issue yourself, or peruse a less ethically sound videogame blog than this one (sorry Ripten, you just got saaaaaaaaaaacked).
So how about it, Mortal Kombat fans, you excited about this? Personally, I couldn't care less about Jade, but Goro and the other stop-motion born Mortal Kombat characters are amongst my favorite in the series. I just wish there was a mode where you play as their original clay-mation models.

Oh, and because it drives me absolutely bonkers when people say it, especially people who write for a living, It's "I couldn't care less". In this context it makes no sense to say "I could care less". Yes, it CAN be grammatically correct, but not in this case.
Sorry to nitpick, but that just drives me crazy, even when I know it shouldn't. Don't think badly of me for it. XD

The human female is alright as well.
The move to 3D nearly killed the franchise and honestly didn't offer much in the way of worthwhile new features. Basically all of the new characters are completely forgettable with the exception of Quan Chi and the voice acting continues to be mediocre.I always felt that all of the 3D games suffered from stiff animation and lacked a fluid combat system. Deadly Alliance's basic story plot got the franchise kicking again, but it was ultimately ruined by Deception and Armageddon. MK4's weapon system has since been improved upon but continues to be an unnecessary gimmick in attempt to offer deeper gameplay. The same can be said of the multi-martial arts fighting styles as well as the Konquest mode, even though it too has improved since Deadly Alliance.
As For that Jade cosplayer all I can say is...Damn That's one attractive Woman. We need to get her on the D~toid show O_o
