Jack Thompson is OVERRULED! Florida Supreme Court lays down the sanction! photo

GamePolitics has just released some breaking news about game hating attorney Jack Thompson. Following the Florida Supreme Court's complaint about Jack's frivolous and time wasting suit filings, it has just come to pass that the silver-haired enemy of videogames got smacked down with sanctions effectively hampering his ability to waste court time.

The Supreme Court will now in future refuse to accept anything from Thompson directly. He will have to go through another lawyer if he wants to make up one of his silly lawsuits. The Court made the ruling late this morning, which you can download via GP here.

Jack, on behalf of gamers everywhere, I'd like to echo the Supreme Court -- STFUAJPG!

Also, HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

It isn't disbarment, but it still makes me happy that he now has an official stamp of crazy against him. Of course, we all know he's nuts, but our opinion and the Florida Supreme Court's kind of differ in importance, you know?

I've just read the entire court document, and I can only come to one conclusion.

Jack Thompson is a sensationalist, who's real agenda is making a quick buck off of public appearances and book sales (he even tried to sell his new book within his court presentation).

This man has brought this upon himself.

Can't he just apply to the Georgia Bar and do the same there? It would only take a few months, I would thinkm. That is, assuming the Georgia Bar would accept him. I'm not really familiar with the application process so I don't know if this kind of blemish on his app would matter.

You know that Penny Arcade comic about Army of Two where they talk about fist-pounding? Well, that comic needs a new panel in between the second and last panels. This panel would be "Jack Thompson Gets Owned By The Florida Supreme Court" with "Fist Pound" at the bottom, accompanied by a picture of two gamers fist-pounding while a frothing-at-the-mouth Jack Thompson is in the background being carted away in a strait-jacket by the men in the white coats.
