For the past couple of weeks, Jack Black has been going around dressed up as Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legend promoting the game at various venues. His latest appearance as the roadie hero took him on The Jimmy Kimmel Show last night where he talked up the game and did some OUTRAGEOUS JACK BLACK ANTICS!

The entire interview is split up in five videos on YouTube where Jack talks about the game, taking steroids, does some pushups and talks about his birthday. He also fights a poor audience member who just wanted to hear the results for Dancing With the Stars.

Between this and the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, Brutal Legend has been getting some really good mainstream attention. Hopefully this continues with more games in the future. Check out the entire interview after the break.

As annoying as Mr. Black is, this can only be good for Brutal Legend and that nice Tim Schafer. Here's hoping he makes lots of moneys and brings us a new game sooner rather than later.

Why in the HELL is he affecting a gruff voice when he's "in character?" Eddie Riggs' voice is the same as Jack Black's normal speaking voice.

I'm still torn on BL. I'm playing it right now and despite it's flaws (which I feel have been made all the more glaring after reading the reading - bad move on my part) it has such a great vibe to it. Maybe it's because I'm a metalhead but maybe we needed a metalhead writing that review. Seriously.

Glad to see this game getting good press. I am sick of new Madden games being pushed out every year and millions of people eating that shit up, as well as boring blockbuster games like GTAIV getting perfect scores. All the while, fun, original games like this get crap sales.

Heres to hoping Tim Schafer and company sell a shitload of Brutal Legend discs and get to grace us with another great gaming world very soon.

With Jack Black's fantastic promoting of Brutal Legend I'm betting it will do very well. Remember nobody reads reviews, especially Nick's (sorry nick).

after christmas when you finally play this game, you will finally realize that RTS can be metal. The presentation is quite awesome. Me and my room mate have been cranking up the music on the game and playing the shit out of the RTS battles online.

I have never been a fan of RTS but how its implemented in this game is perfect.

Strange. I've been hearing the games RTS sections were absolutely horrible by just about everybody that's played it. I'm not saying you're wrong.. I can't say that, because I haven't gotten around to putting Demon's Souls down yet. But, I just find it interesting that you'd say the RTS part is "perfect". That makes me want to try it now to find out.

I will not be reading the review for this game because after my roommate bought it I played it for about 10 minutes and immediately went and bought it. The game is SO well done it blows me away, the dialogue is funny and the use of metal terminology in the fantasy world is seamless... If it gets bad scores it would break my heart because it so damn original!

Seriously I don't think I've had this good a time playing video games since the likes of Psychonauts and Conker's bad fur day...

In conclusion: don't pass on this one it is a must buy

Again I say "perfect," but thats coming from somebody who hates RTS games. I just think that the way they present it in the game (and even more so in multiplayer) is pretty damn good and fun. The way you can seamlessly jump in and out of battle takes out the boring and mundane I find with other games that focus only on RTS. Of course I am in the minority judging by a lot of peoples opinions.

At least rent the game, you wont be disappointed, especially with the story.
