With Jack Black's fantastic promoting of Brutal Legend I'm betting it will do very well. Remember nobody reads reviews, especially Nick's (sorry nick).
after christmas when you finally play this game, you will finally realize that RTS can be metal. The presentation is quite awesome. Me and my room mate have been cranking up the music on the game and playing the shit out of the RTS battles online.
I have never been a fan of RTS but how its implemented in this game is perfect.
Jack Black is an idiot but if that's what it takes to get people to take the medium "seriously", then..... eh, I've stopped caring.
Strange. I've been hearing the games RTS sections were absolutely horrible by just about everybody that's played it. I'm not saying you're wrong.. I can't say that, because I haven't gotten around to putting Demon's Souls down yet. But, I just find it interesting that you'd say the RTS part is "perfect". That makes me want to try it now to find out.
Seriously I don't think I've had this good a time playing video games since the likes of Psychonauts and Conker's bad fur day...
In conclusion: don't pass on this one it is a must buy
Again I say "perfect," but thats coming from somebody who hates RTS games. I just think that the way they present it in the game (and even more so in multiplayer) is pretty damn good and fun. The way you can seamlessly jump in and out of battle takes out the boring and mundane I find with other games that focus only on RTS. Of course I am in the minority judging by a lot of peoples opinions.
At least rent the game, you wont be disappointed, especially with the story.
