Man, there's really been a ton of content coming out on Brütal Legend as they ramp up hype some three months before the scheduled release of the game. And, hey, here's more of it!
In this short video, Jack Black does that thing that he does best: Being Jack Black. Whether that's a good thing or not is really a matter of opinion. He wields a battleaxe, talks a little bit of history and swings it around in a manner only a certain type of extrovert would be caught dead doing. There's also some gameplay footage in between bits of Jack.
Okay, I'm excited about Brütal Legend and I have been since I first heard of the game years ago. But, seriously, this is already starting to get to be a little too much promotion for me. Can we slow it down a bit, Double Fine? I don't want to be sick of the game before I've had a chance to play it.
Check out the video after the jump if you're so inclined.

I'm loving the amount of gameplay footage they're showing for Brütal Legend. I wasn't interested at all in this title until I saw some videos, and as a videogame blog-goers, we're the first to be exposed to this media. Most of it probably won't even reach the mass target audience.
Considering how this is a Tim Schafer game, exposure is essential. I don't mind seeing more hype for a game that, I believe, deserves it; it's about time Mr. Schafer gets some mainstream attention before one of his titles release!

Lack of hype is what killed his other titles, this is exactly what he needs.
It's not hype that he is referring to, its overexposure of actual gameplay. It's like watching 100 different clips for a movie before you see it only to realize that the clips put together make up the entirety of the movie.
I find Jack Black so annoying. But I want to love this game. For this reason I've been slowly building up my like for Jack Black by watching his films, brainwashing myself, if you will. I won't let him ruin this for me.
Ramp up the hype? If anything, I'm less excited about Brutal Legend now than ever. Thanks for taking what could have been the most epic and badass celebration/parody of heavy metal ever, and turning it into a Jack Black vehicle. It looks like a fun game, but I'm just not that into it anymore.
I imagined a roadie who always smoked with giant mustache saving naked chicks after killing giant demons by ripping out their testicles with his hands and slapping them with a guitar. What Jack Black proposes sounds awful to me. The humor feels rather forced to me. I don't hate Jack Black either, he's done some geniunely funny stuff. Such as the scene in his movie where he sings about not needing a microphone. However, watch the film Envy.
An actor who has made some deliberately corny and less-than-perfect comedies and wasn't involved in the design or scripting of this game is doing the voicework, therefore I no longer am interested in the game.
I won't by a game unless I am familiar and approving of the voice actors' bios.

SELL THAT BITCH LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.
Psychonauts barely had a drop of the hype Brutal Legend already has.
