Jack Black dresses like Eddie Riggs for the VMAs photo

The 2009 Video Music Awards didn’t kick off without a bit of videogame-related goodness. Actor, comedian, singer, and c--k push-up master Jack Black made a red carpet appearance at the place of the event donning the garb of Brutal Legend’s Eddie Riggs. Black is the voice behind the lead protagonist of the upcoming title, so it’s only natural for him to do this. Nothing weird about it at all. Nope.

Complete with fake muscles, a graphic tee and a ridiculously large fake axe, Black exposed the predominately 14-year-old girl viewership to the character. We’ll never know if he managed to turn anyone on to the game, but at least he tried.

Also of note at the VMAs: Lady Gaga took home a statue for her win in the “Best New Artist” category, and the Beastie Boys finally won something for the video "Sabotage."

I think Jack could of done better of a costume better...

Wow, either I'm old, or Mtv is way more like Nickelodeon than it used to be (or both).

Lady Gaga is a gunt taken human form. I look forward to all the tween girls and gay men getting distracted by someone else so she can quietly overdose on a speedball in a public bathroom somewehre in New York City. Then I can chuckle while Sway (my totem spirit) on MTV tells me what a loss it is. Oh, and she has a giant awful rat face.

Jack Black / Tenacious D / fans there of are annoying and boring.

Brutal Legend will be an excellent, enjoyable game.
