Not content with passing the one-million-download mark and celebrating Valentine's Day, the team behind Dungeon Defenders is unleashing more free DLC for the PC version of the game. This time, it's a political face-off between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Yes, you read that right, political candidates will fight it out in Etheria!
Released today, the "President's Day Battle Royale" DLC will feature skins for both Barack and Michelle Obama, Mitt Romney, and even George Washington. Players will get to battle in a presidential arena with the chance to unlock special pets and weapons -- and it's all free, for a limited time.
It's not like there's no precedent for politicians squaring off in videogames; NBA Jam: On Fire had the 2008 Democrats and Republicans fighting it out on the court. Maybe videogames can be the next venue for political disputes to be settled? How about the terms of Scottish independence be settled on the basis of a few games of Team Fortress 2? I imagine Alex Salmond plays a mean Demoman.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Just kidding, Ron Paul is too sane and 'safe' to get the vote of all the idiots who vote in this country. He's the only republican I'd ever vote for anyway.
Or Microsoft need to stop being Aholes and open up Live.
But a few things:
1. No more money handouts I don't want to pay for Scottish education and medicine.
2. Removal of Scotland from the union flag.
3. Let Scotland adopt another currency.
4. If a Scottish citizen wants to work in the UK let them fill out the necessary forms and get work authorisation.
Seems only fair to me if Scotland truly wants to be independent.
No. I think one of his major problems is running for the nomination in a party that runs on fear mongering and failed economic policy. And... well he doesn't do those things.
So yea.
As for Ron Paul, I decided he could go to hell after the debate where he waffled on whether to save the life of an uninsured person, as the crowd yelled "let him die!"
Ron Paul is sane, because he won't go to war for Israel. We don't need World War 3 with Iran, China, and Russia. The sabre-rattling is the same bullshit we heard before going into Iraq over "Weapons of Mass Destruction". Yeah, cry wolf, bitches, we're done wasting blood and treasure (debt) over lies.
Fuck you developers, look at the mess you are making.

And I honestly wish they waited until Mit or Ron was declared the republican candidate before doing this.
I would say that Americans have are severly indoctrinated. The media doesn't give attention to Ron Paul at all. That alone shows how awfully corrupted your country is and that Ron Paul is obviously doing something right. I mean seriously? The Media literally ignores things that might profit Ron Paul. Just yesterday there was a big rally at washington that was impossible to miss, did the mainstream media give attention to it? No.
Again, your media is disgusting and enough reason to think for a moment about Ron Paul. Your country is obviously corrupted and Ron Paul is the only "possible" fix at the moment. The guy is a clever man, he is very intelligent and has a great sense of logic. If you disagree with him, try to be more open minded and try to see things from his POV as well
Iran is another big retarted matter. The media is allready busy brainwashing the whole country to go and invade. If it comes that far, no offense, but I hope you lose
"The media doesn't give attention to Ron Paul at all. That alone shows how awfully corrupted your country is and that Ron Paul is obviously doing something right."
The media doesn't give me any attention either, which proves that I'm obviously correct about everything.
Either that or it proves that Ron Paul doesn't get any coverage because he isn't pandering to the media's sensationalist mentality as much as other candidates. Sensationalism and corruption are two very, very different things.
I'd like to add to my previous post that Mitt Romney gets his donations from people who fuck up your country and take advantage of the system in the first place. These chaps are benefitting from the current system so it's obvious they wont romney to stay.
But as a middle classer you shouldn't mind about that, it's only your tax money anyway.
Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to what Obama does after re-election. He's been too passive in many peoples' opinion, and diplomatic to the point where it seems a fault. However, he'll have nothing to lose once he gets his second, and constitutionally final, term.
As it is certain, on the one hand, that we are all making some similar request to the Government; and as, on the other, it is proved that Government cannot satisfy one party without adding to the labor of the others ...
Government is that great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else."
"Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity, and are able to turn both to their advantage."
"We a democracy." -Obama 20:12
"As for Ron Paul, I decided he could go to hell after the debate where he waffled on whether to save the life of an uninsured person, as the crowd yelled "let him die!""
I respect your opinion but I am confused about your logic. I would just like to point out that Ron Paul gave a resounding "NO!" to the "let him die" comment in that debate. I hope you realize this and that Ron Paul is pro life beyond prenatal life and would not let the individual die. I feel that if you believe what you had stated in the above comment, the media has had its intended effect and has successfully misguided you. Please reconsider the facts by re-watching that segment on youtube.
POLITICS!
Fads are when people are doing things for the sake of popularity. I would say Ron Paul is anything but "popular" ;)
What's that? The people giving money to Romney's campaign actually want Romney to be elected because they think he's the one most likely to create or maintain the policies that are in their own interest? SCANDALOUS!
That's because you want more warmongering assholes that'll bring out an all-out war and you can live in Metro 2033 conditions.
I think you took that whole post out of context. It wasn't even about the money, it was about who was donating the money. What kind of people support him. It should at least make one question why these chaps want him to win so much. It will benefit them to keep control of the things they're allready able to control right now.
