A billion years ago, I reviewed Far Cry 2
. During the process, my save file corrupted. I didn’t think to mention it; I believed at the time it was a misfortunate and random bug. It wasn’t, as many of you noted in my review.
But put those bad feelings away. The patch Ubisoft teased earlier this year
finally went live for all platforms yesterday. Whew.
In addition to fixing the tragic bug, the title update/patch also gives multiplayer a bit of a boost. Stronger weapons, respawn time tweaking, and the realistic ‘hardcore mode’ are all part of this little free downloadable package.
If you’re copy of Far Cry 2
is collecting dust, here’s the nudge to get back into it. Watch out for malaria, though. I heard it’s more dangerous than a rusty weapon.
