It's not too late to put Teslagrad on your radar

After coming out of seemingly nowhere to impress us back in May, Rain Games' exploratory puzzle-platformer Teslagrad is nearing its launch on PC, which happens December 13, 2013. The game is hitting Steam, GOG.com, and other digital platforms for $9.99/€8.99/£6.99 and will also see a release on PlayStation 3 and Wii U next year.

There's a lot to love here, with hand-drawn art, boss fights, and a non-existent graphical user interface. As the last of the Teslamancers, you'll explore the Tesla Tower by solving puzzles that revolve around magnetism. A few of the powers are shown here in the trailer and I'm dying to dig into the game and, ideally, beat it in a single sitting to truly appreciate the sense of progression. Depending on the length, that is -- I can't be pulling all-nighters any more.

Review: Teslagrad

Ever since it was first revealed, I've been attracted to the basic conceit of Teslagrad. Perhaps due to the volume of available titles in the genre, indie puzzle platformers have become a bit polarizing, but that never repell...more

Puzzle-platformer Teslagrad sounds so, so good

Consider me highly intrigued. Teslagrad is a platforming game in which a boy has become involved in a conspiracy surrounding the king of a "steampunk-inspired version of old Europe." It's also the debut release of Rain Games...more

Namco has made another Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures

Coming to PS3, 360, Wii U, and 3DS this fall, a sequel to "an emotionless venture that's devoid of any soul or effort." I guess Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which is based on the new Pac-Man television series, did well enough to warrant a sequel.more

Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day: A confusing mess of things I like

That Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor 'fell to bits'

Too good to be true, I worried, when first hearing about a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series that was to be made by former Rare staffers. "Mingy Jongo." Perhaps that name still rests in your memory. I had forgot...more
