Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -- Dual Destinies is out and it's fantastic. Along with Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, it's the best transition from sprite based graphics to polygons that I've seen yet. All the body language, exaggeration, and special frame-by-frame feeling that you loved in prior 2D games is back, combined with a smoothness and clarity that's more easily achieved with 3D models. We can only hope the next Pokemon game looks this good.
While some of the voice acting in this trailer is a little stilted, there's no arguing that the writing is packed with charm. "Analytical Psychology is going to revolutionize this stodgy institution!" If I ever get to yell that in a court room, I will die a happy man. In the meantime, I'll keep working on my Athena Cykes cosplay and hope for the best.
