I encourage you all to check out (or download, since the DC is sweet that way) a game called REZ. It's a mix between star fox and frequency/amplitude, and a bit of lumines. Rear view shooter like star fox, but when you target, shoot, kill, damage anything it plays chines and synth tracks, and the higher your score/combos go the more complex the muxic gets. The whole thing likes like a giant equalizer or mindows media layer visualizer skin.
REZ is also on XBLA, and yes, it is a big deal.
And sorry, no Skies of Arcadia write-up from me. I never had the guts to beat the whole game, though I know it's a classic.

Annoyingly my dreamcast is rotting in a box in my mums dusty cupboard back home in England. I doubt I'll ever buy an NTSC one 'cos I hate buying things twice so this nostalgia fest is probably going to make me very sad.

Heh, it's hard to believe it's been that long.
I remember when my dad ordered my Dreamcast back then directly from SEGA itself.
Had to leave it on for two days straight to beat Sonic Adventure because I didn't get a VMU untill the following weekend.

Still my favorite console, if they'd make games for it I'd buy them hands down. I hate Sega for giving up and making Wii games.
Just so you know, Wednesday is the hardware fapfest. Games talk is on Thursday. From me, anyway. The rest of you go nuts.

the games for me when I think of DC were jet grind radio and sonic adventure 2, though there really is a place in my heart for D2 even though the end made zero sense
I really wish they'd make a new Shenmue. I didn't even get to play Shenmue 2 because I didn't have an Xbox. :(
I'm planning on posting a Dreamcast blog, but I might do it on Tuesday so it doesn't get crushed under the weight of everything else.
Is it weird that i have the japanese and american versions of Street Fighter 3 and Street Fighter III 2nd/3rd?
Also, if anyone still has access to dial-up (I don't D:) we should get some games going, chuchu rocket, PSO, quake, and I know I'm missing one or two more games. Unless, of course, sega killed off everything related to dreamcast. Chatting on irc with the dreamcast controller and or keyboard?
