I just got an email from an anonymous source featuring an image (seen above) with the file name "9_113_141520_11215145" and the text "Soon, our trip will continue. Sincerely, Only a man". At first I assumed it was Tron related, what with my well known love of the movie and that new sequel coming out. Then I thought harder, and remembered this wallpaper from a while back, which led me to get really excited.
I think this may be the new teaser image for the next Bit.Trip game.
Simple, original, and compelling are the three words I'd use to describe Bit.Trip Beat. It's without a doubt one of my favorite games of 2009, so the thought that I may be one of the first to get an exclusive look at the next entry in the Bit.Trip series has my mind all aflutter with joy. Very little is currently known about what's in store for the next Bit.Trip, other than it's planned to be a totally new experience, but will be rhythm/action based just like the original.
Is my wild, unbridled excitement for more Bit.Trip blinding me, or do you think I'm on the right track? What do you think that file name means? What kind of gameplay does the image imply?
I'm too excited to think straight, people. Help me understand what's going on.
Galaga clone. I'm calling it.
Help please?
@ DJP3DRO- I've read that DLC for Bit.Trip Beat isn't out of the question, but this new Bit.Trip game is going to be something totally new.
It could be a puzzle game, a shooter, a platformer, or a combination of all three.
Here's hoping!
Is 'I Am Not Alone' a reference to something or just ominous mystery crap?
Hope this is all leading up to something cool at least <3
Maybe those events will lead to him dealing with other living things on a regular basis in the sequel.
Oh, maybe it will be a fighting game in the spirit of Joy Mech Fight! That would be amazing!
and in area5 the boss "said" something like "you are not alone".
Check it out! We just found out the release date of the European version of BIT.TRIP BEAT! This FRIDAY, MAY 1ST! Check out our website at www.gaijingames.com.
Actually, we're working on one right now. It's not awesome yet, but check it out here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/BitTrip/94061592159?ref=mf
