Here's a little bit of Tuesday morning intrigue for you -- A number of sites have posted an announcement that the Xbox 360's Fall Update is bringing with it a Virtual Console of sorts -- allowing you to download original Xbox games via Xbox Live. However, the CVG article which is said to be the source has been removed.
If true, the first titles available on the new Xbox download service will be Halo, Fahrenheit, Fable, Crimson Skies, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex and Burnout 3 and will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points. Not too shabby, though I could pick up a real copy of Halo for four queenquids pretty easily.
Other news includes European accounts having access, at last, to a Video Marketplace. Good news for people who don't know what torrenting is. It's basically a rental service in which customers have to watch the video within 24 days before access is removed. A solid start date for this service has not been confirmed.
The Fall Update itself is coming on December 4th, and could be very exciting indeed if all this hullabaloo is to be believed.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I can see myself using this for Xbox games that might have been Japan only or were very rare to find. That would be sweet.
Oh is that what Farenheit is? I might actually get that if this is true. I'd probably get Otogi as well if they released it.
That said, farenheit/indigo prophecy is definately worth playing for classic adventure fans.
Okay, so I bought Fable 3 times, once used, once new (the used copy didn't work well) and once when they came out with Fable: Lost Chapters.
I might get it again if there are achievements like "Kick a Chicken 500ft" and "Fart 300 times in the game" or "Marry a Man"
Though they need to fix it so I can play backwards compatible games on my monitor. Only 1 works :(
I hope the UK video marketplace has some free content, kind of like how 4 on demand works. So if you miss something, it'll be on there for free for a week, then after that buy it. Otherwise I'll stick to UKNova.
That's crazy talk!
Also, Fahrenheit is fucking win
Well, it would be cool if they released some cool, rare Japanese X-Box games over it... Oh wait.
