Is the original Puzzle Quest and expansion headed to PSN? photo

It's been some time, but I've been able to release myself from the death-grip known as Infinite Interactive's Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Wardlords. Its cunning mix of classic gem-matching gameplay with role-playing game elements was too hard to resist. It didn't help that I could play it on just about everything I owned: PSP, Nintendo DS, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, my cell phone ...

But now it looks to draw me back in, this time possibly on the PlayStation 3. PEGI has rated the ridiculously-named Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - Revenge of the Plague for the PlayStation Network. The listing suggests that the game will contain both the original game and the recent fan-named "expansion pack," Revenge of the Plague, and will also support online play.

With the follow up, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, coming to the Xbox 360, PC, and DS this fall, they'd better hurry up and release this year-old title on PSN soon. By the time it's available, gamers may have already embarked on their jewel matching space quests.

If it has trophy support I'll get it. Otherwise I have enough Puzzle Quest already.

I haven't played Puzzle Quest in awhile, myself. My wife became obsessed with it on XBLA (after I pushed her for months to try it on the DS), and I had to wrestle the controller from her hands. I played it for awhile, too, and still only have one lousy achievement!

I seriously need to learn how to play this game so I can be addicted to something new.

@Nick - same here. I was playing it and convinced my wife she might like it. For the next 6 weeks she would play it for 6-8 hours a day. I had all I could do to get her away from it so I could play GTA4 when it came out. My wife got 11 achievements, has researched every spell, forged every item, and captured every monster. I never knew she was so hardcore...

I can't tell her when the expansion comes out.

Oh god not again, can we stop milking the crap out of this undeserving franchise please?

I recently got this for PSP, and it's superceded all other games. It's just too easy to pick up and play for those quick burts of gaming, and I like the art design and sound choices. While I won't buy it on PSN, I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have it in some form.

Damn, I forgot about Puzzle Quest: Galactrix. I thought I'd run out of XBLA games for the rest of the year.

Also, I don't know what's prevented them from releasing this on PSN before. Seemed like a given.

i play this on my tablet pc with the screen down and using the pen to "flick" gems around instead of mouse clicking and button holding and dragging. makes it sooo much more fun than it already is. kinda like the DS version i guess.
