This March, Nintendo will be introducing the first in its series of GameCube remakes for the Wii, under their "New Play Control!" branding. First up will be New Play Control! versions of both Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin, both sporting Wii-specific controls for the re-release.
It doesn't look like it's going to stop there, either -- if an updated ESRB listing is any indication, Pikmin 2 may be getting the "New Play Control!" treatment as well. Siliconera noted the updated listing for the title, which adds Wii to the consoles the game is available on.
Nintendo hasn't announced the releaes of Pikmin 2 for the Wii for either North America or Japan, so you'll have to take this one with a grain of salt. Besides, we haven't even gotten New Play Control! Pikmin yet ... relax, OK? Let's hope this isn't the closest we'll get to seeing Pikmin on the Wii, though. The things we'd do for a new Pikmin title are certainly NSFW.

Here's today's formerly-live Destructoid Show, on which I wear a bad shirt again.

We already knew that EA wasn't working on any Wii U games, but we weren't made privy to the exact reasons for that decision. Other than the puzzling report that EA's Frostbite 2 doesn't test well on the console (despite the f...
Today's Nintendo Direct showed off some new games from one of my most anticipated titles of the year: Game and Wario. One such game, titled Island, has players launching "Fronks" onto a spinning target in order to get as man...
I remember where I was when Donkey Kong Country Returns was announced for the Wii. I was in the E3 press room during the Nintendo conference, and I shouted a few obscenities at the screen after the surprise trailer, garnering...
It wasn't the biggest Nintendo Direct event today, but we did get some more info on a few games like New Super Luigi U and Pikmin 3, as well as release dates like Wonderful 101. The event ended up being mostly Wii U-centric, ...
It appears as if Nintendo will be "bringing E3 to the public" in the words of Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. Nintendo will be bringing playable builds of their newly announced Wii U games to select Best Buy l...
