Oh, Marvel you dirty tease! On its official blog, Marvel Interactive has posted a single piece of artwork, depicting a number of bodies, many of which wearing The Punisher's trademark skull.
The easy conclusion to jump to is that Marvel Interactive are set to reveal a new game based in The Punisher universe. A new film, Punisher: War Zone is set to land in theaters this December, and it would be rather clever to ride the film hype up and through the film's home video release.
Volition 2005 The Punisher game was a pretty great, over-the-top third-person romp that featured interactive kills like throwing enemies in to a pool of pirahnas. I still think about that every day. Whatever is revealed, let's all cross our fingers that it involves pirahnas.

Hey, why not? HD cell shading with Marvel art styling? It could happen.
Anyway, yeah, I loved the The Punisher (2005) game, so I hope this is around the same style of play but much improved. I don't want any censorship bullshit.
Considering that it was posted on Marvel's official blog in the area that only talks about their videogame projects (Marvel Interactive), the answer to that question would be "yes."
I hope Volition gets to do it again though, I feel with a second shot at it they could make something borderline PERFECT.
