Activision has unveiled two new characters for the highly promising Transformers: War for Cybertron. Grizzled war veteran Ironhide represents the Autobots, while the Decepticons get a surprisingly obscure character in Skywarp.

Ironhide is billed as slow and old, but incredibly durable. True to his G1 roots, he's a loyal Autobot and one of Prime's most trusted advisors. Skywarp will be similarly faithful to his original role, that of a stealth attacker who suffers from subnormal intelligence. Both characters look pretty cool.

I'm quite excited for this game. It really seems like they've made an effort to create a worthy Transformers game, and frankly anything will be better than the last abomination. I just hope they get Tom Kenny to voice Starscream. He's the only guy who's come close to Chris Latta.
