What looks like the iPad 3's internals leaked out a few weeks back, and the SoC is labeled "A5X" instead of "A6", leading some to believe that it's not a quad core A9 upgrade, and is instead something more incremental. This makes sense given that they're finally upgrading the display from a mediocre 1024x768 resolution, and I don't think Apple is going to do anything to cut into their pretty significant profit margins on the iPad (the base model cost like $200+ in raw parts but they sell it for $500).

As someone who has a few Apple products in their household, I can't help but laugh at people who run out and buy every new iteration, as it they are substantially improved over, in some cases, last year's model. It must be nice to have a cult of personality surrounding your brand.

The screen being up to four times the resolution and having a quad-cire processor is not a big deal? And how are Apple products behind in tech? For the most part, the Apple phones/tablets are some of the best/highest end on the market, besides a couple Android phones.
I hope to hell its not an ipad mini. an ipad mini is an ipad touch. I seriously just want to get a kindle anymore... ipads are fantastic things, but android just kinda pushes everything to the next level it seems.

IPhones and I pads are far behind Android devices yet apple has been around for many year longer. apple knows the next iwhatever will sell and that most people who buy are not tech smart they are apple smart which is nothing. they dont even have a 4g device yet

And just who the hell would want to settle for iPhone or iTouch at home? It is nice to web browse and do other thing without having to lug around a laptop or be confined to your PC. In fact a "mini" iPad would be a great price alternative for the practicality of a tablet without the massive price gouging.

This is yet another thing that will probably make me happy that Android exists. I love Apple's hardware, but I have yet to use a single piece of software made by them that I've actually enjoyed using.

hell, you can easily find netbooks with touchscreens and Windows operating system 90% of them are fuckin cheaper than cheapest iPad and have specs that will probably still outperform iPad45 that you will see by the end of 2013.

probably because americans have currently the worst education system in the world? recently i've got to see how looks the typical program for each level of education in US. i'm sorry, but what every single person in my country have in middle school, americans have that at university. i think that perfectly shows how advanced is "education" system in US.
that doesn't mean it's all bad - i like the fact that there is variety of different courses at Universities and extra-curricular activities in schools(unlike here sadly), but the quality of basic education is simply abysmal.

There's also a lot of rumours regarding a new Apple TV product and that the iPad 3 will be able to stream HD movies to the TV.. and of course there are rumours that Siri will be included in the iPad 3.

This is more or less why I've been telling my roommate to not get our house an iPad yet. No reason to really when you pretty much know the next one is around the bend.
Honestly, I'm much more willing to get a cheap laptop for what I need it for, then I think I am an iPad any way. We just need a PC alternative we can put out in our tiny living room so we can look up shit on IMDB (you know, when we get those pesky "I know that guy" feeling) or when i need to look up an achievement solution while I'm playing the 360 (thought YouTube on the 360 would be helpful.. it really hasn't been, specially when I forget what I saw 3seconds later...)

It is fun to watch people rage about Apple. Both iOS and Android have their perks and its really just a matter of picking your poison when it comes to the pros and cons of either. I would never really want a Mac because my next PC will be built with games and other functions in mind, but as far as tablets go I'd probably go with Apple just for the interface, iCloud storage App Store, iTunes and so on.
I like my iPhone and I'd like a tablet. they're only going to become increasingly necessary going forward, so hopefully Apple will start to price more competitively from here on out. The prices really do need to come down.

If this is true, and iPad 3/2S has a retina display, I believe the iPhone 5 will very well have an even better screen. After all, didn't Apple add the retina display on the iPhone to keep up with the massive screen on the iPad? I'm excited. Not so much for the iPad, but because we're nearing iPhone 5. And I want. Bad.
Ugh, Apple makes hundreds of dollars in PROFIT per iPad 2, a big chunk of which doesn't go into innovation or kickbacks to their underpaid Chinese employees, but industry-damaging patent litigation. I'd love to have one, but not at this cost, and not when I know most of my money is just going to go support anti-competitive ideals.
