Introducing Lights Out, a Destructoid newsreel
In recent months, I've taken to giving myself a break in the day by playing a few rounds of Team Fortress 2. When some of my colleagues began to join me, I knew I had yet another opportunity to take something I was enjoying and turn it into a hellish nightmare of a work obligation. And so it is with great pleasure that I give you the first episode of Lights Out, a nightly recap of the day's top stories discussed over a game of TF2. In today's episode, I'm joined by Jordan Devore and Brett Zeidler. We chat about Sony's most recent classless action, our disappointment on hearing the Enslaved sequel has been shelved and why Fox McCloud has no wingmen on the internet. You can be a part of Lights Out by playing Team Fortress 2 on our server. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Around what time should we play if we want to be a part of lights out? I'd love to be a "regular guest" if there is such a thing. Typically, the show records somewhere between 3-5pm Pacific. So, if you want to try and distract us from the conversation we're having, that would probably be the best time to try and do that. The video is kinda shit. Is that just my connection?
Great idea anyway. This could be a regular newssource for me. Lame I've favorited the destructoid server but its seriously empty every night but fnf and I don't get off work until 10 pm pst on fridays. Guess I'm doomed to never play with my fellow dtoiders would love to see this be a regular feature but with different multiplayer games now and then, sometimes recent ones.. It's actually interesting watching some multiplayer from a game i havn't played while listening :P @Conrad: oh my bad i thought you meant part of as in part of the conversation, but I guess you meant the game. sorry! You took two things I loved and put them together. I haven't felt like this since, like, two weeks ago when the Tron/Saints Row video came out. if I'm there while you're recording, I'm probably going to just yell 'CURLEH MUSTASHE' whenever I kill Conrad. Great Video! There is something so relaxing about game discussion over TF2 gunfire. I would love to join in (although, I would get massacred by you guys). Btw, did you know the link to the server is down? I have to say, as a Hardcore TF2 player, you got all my attention and I can't believe I didn't think about this before. That was one of the most insightful well thought out discussions I've ever heard during a Team Fortress 2 match. Not that it's a knock against you, it's just play on servers where people aren't, well.....pleasant. 9:30 PM on 05.17.2013 New Sonic, EA Vs. Wii U, The Last Of Us & BatmanHere's today's formerly-live Destructoid Show, on which I wear a bad shirt again. Nintendo had one of their little Nintendo Direct press conference thingies this morning, and a bunch of news came out of that. They're also d...

3:30 PM on 05.16.2013 Watch the worst Fallout game ever madeJordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious.

9:30 PM on 05.13.2013 Beware the chicken thief of Santa LuchaIt's the end of the road for our playthrough of Guacamelee, and it's been a really enjoyable experience on the whole. In our final two episodes, Jordan and I hunt down the chicken thief of Santa Lucha, face off against the fearsome Jaguar Javier and confront the sinister Carlos Calaca. It's some seriously action packed stuff.
