We're having two of Grasshopper Manufacture's biggest names over the house tonight for a live stream hangout and interview. Akira Yamaoka (ex-Silent Hill composer and producer) and Massimo Guarini will be over for dinner while on a tour promoting Shadows of the Damned, and we mean to fix them up a treat.

I'm planning on badgering them for info about No More Heroes 3, getting Yamaoka-san's opinion on the past and present Silent Hill games and movies, asking them both about some of the big shake-ups in the the game development world lately, and their thoughts on Japanese vs. Western development. We're also going to kick off a contest when they come over, with the prize being some limited edition No More Heroes gear and stuffs.

So yeah, get ready for that, and please, let us know if you have any questions. You can ask them here, or join us tomorrow at around 8pm PST for the live chat.

A few questions:

1-How is development of Shadows of the Damned going ?
2-In a market full with FPS/TPS titles, what will make SotD unique ?
3-SotD looks like a TPS, but will it be infused with horror ?
4-Will we need to wait for the next generation to receive NMH3 ?
5- Any new concepts or new IPs you can share with any of us ?

we already know No More Heroes is gonna be develop in the future. on a side note, can you also ask what happened to the Silver Case remake for the DS? iv'e seen Suda playing it but it never got release? they could also make a game similar to that. im a sucker for detective games ^^

Oh my...Oh my god. Someone, please hold me back from getting on the BART and sneaking into the house. Akira Yamaoka. Seriously? Fucking epic. Fanboy panic, happening right now.

QUESTIONS:

To all: "What will Shadows of the Damned bring to the table that other games haven't? As in, what do you pride yourselves in when working on the game?"

To Yamaoka: "You're well-known for your Trip Hop inspiration in the Silent Hill series (which is a great genre, btw). What genre/inspiration do you plan on bringing to Shadows of the Damned? And will Mary McGlynn lend any of her vocal talents?"

To Yamaoka: "As a horror enthusiast, artist/musician, and fan of your work, I ask this: What do you do to become inspired? Where do you get your drive to bring forth so much breathtaking creativity? I've been in a creative funk as of late and need some guiding words from one of my biggest idols."

Definitely interested in what Akira's influence was (besides LSD) when making demented music for Silent Hill.

No More Heroes is coming to the PS3, will number 2 come as well? I've played both games on the wii but High-Def with Move-Compatibility would be sick.

People have argued it for awhile, but was that supposed to be Garcian Smith that barged in on Travis in the first NMH?

Lastly, what was greatest inspiration behind Travis Touchdown's personality?

1- Ching Chong Ching Chong?
2- Fucking Magnets, how do they work?
3- Will there be No More Badguys, No More Cops, No More Victims or No More Hostages?
4- Is No More Heroes the next Guitar Hero-style cash-in?
5- What is air?

I'm just kidding XD (And no, I don't think that No More Heroes is a cash-in franchise. With only two titles, god kills me if I thought something like that XD)

Will Akira Yamaoka continue to produce work for Beatmania or is that stuff done?
Will Akira Yamaoka ever release a new album? iFuturelist was a fantastic album and I'd love to hear a long version of something like 'Bi-Bun-Seki Bun.'

Can America ever get awesome editions of Grasshopper games? Those special editions of Heroes Paradise and NMH2 have me very jealous.

What are the chances of seeing a Grasshopper game with a female lead? As a female gamer, I think this is something very much lacking in games and who better to do it than Grasshopper who seem to do a fabulous job of making sexy-but-strong ladies.

And to Yamaoka, I just gotta know, what's one of your personal favorite video game soundtracks?

I also have to echo the desire for a Killer7-esque game, spiritual sequel or otherwise.

To all:
1. What are your favourite games this generation?
2. What games are you looking forward to?
To Yamaoka:
1. Which is your favourite Silent Hill game?
2. What are your main inspiriations for your soundtracks?
3. Why are your soundtracks so damn good?

@Gaidenrider: In the name Pokemon Ranger for the DS I hope you were not kidding. If I had taco soup, it would be on my nose.

I want Yamaoka-san to give an honest critique of Licht's current work for the next Silent Hill!!!! As a follow-up question, if SH music doesn't sound like Yamaoka's, what would? EXCITE!!!!

Yamaoka: both you and Suda 51 darling Masafumi Takada have composed some of the best videogame sountracks around. You both have starkly different styles but you're both capable of producing very atmospheric and creepy music - to the point where I have to turn off the music in order to play without scaring myself too much. Would you ever consider teaming with Takada or do you strictly work alone?

Oh yes, Akira Yamoaka, are you planning on making any Silent Hill moodish songs with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn or anything at all? Are You going to do music for the next No More Heroes?

And I think we all would like know of any plans for a No More Heroes sequel or any kind of NMH related game in the works too.

Now that the Xbox 360 and PS3 have their own respective motion control peripherals, does Grasshopper Manufacture still show any interest in making games for the Wii ?

I spent 5 years trying to get my inspiration question answered. Then everyone else chimed in and we all started screaming at Holmes via text. I'm surprised we didn't make a petition and/or grab picket-signs. Hilarity.

nice show, definitely do more of these. BUT, maybe try putting the interview on the big screen with one camera, and do the site advertising stuff in a pic in pic box. it's not the greatest experience on my end when the interview is on three tiny boxes at the bottom, while the largest portion of the screen is site advertising. also, the audio is totally jacked.
