Interplay's maybe-sorta-Fallout MMO enters beta in 2012 photo

It might not be a Fallout massively multiplayer online title, but maybe Interplay's upcoming Project: V13 (in codename only) will fill a post-apocalyptic void nicely.

According to Interplay's Chariman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen, the title is scheduled to enter public beta in 2012. Yup, that's quite a wait, but perhaps long enough for Interplay and Bethesda to settle its legal disputes -- it's entirely possible that Project: V13 could release as a proper Fallout MMO.

The title is in development at Masthead Studios, a Bulgarian developer that has yet to ship its only game, an original PC MMO entitled Earthrise.

Am I the only one who doesn't want all of his favorite franchises to be made into MMOs?

I want an MMO where you aren't a hero ... how about a guy in a post apocalyptic world just trying to survive, carve out some land, etc.

ha i know what you mean.
Although, Halo MMO might be pretty sweet. haha.
unless it was a hellgate..
But i think the Halo Universe is big enough to make one,
It would just be difficult to get the proper gameplay elements down.
BUT anyways, Fallout MMO huh? that would be cool maybe, Are we talking Fallout 3 or the first few?

So... what you're saying is that we'll finally get a Fallout MMO at about the same time as the end of the world? :p

Huh? I thought Interplay was dead. Great news tbh I'd love to see fallout as a mmo. The universe is perfect for it.

That's odd, I didn't know the world was still going to exist post-2012.

Not because of some crazy doomsday hypothesis, but rather because we humans are F-ing up so bad.

The beta may be in 2012, but no one will play it. We'll all be too busy playing Fallout IRL. IMO. TBH.

Hmmm, what a proper way to send the entire human race off in 2012, than with an APOCALYPTIC game.

Amirite?

For an MMO, that is fast. Seeing that Bethesda is still swinging their bankroll to steal the rights to the Fallout MMO out from under Interplay, I'm not suprised that they are pushing for progress. A couple screenshots isn't going to cut it in court.
