Oh boy Facebook gaming!!! That's my general reaction normally but when it's someone like Insomniac then I'm inclined to not just brush the subject off.

Insomniac has teamed up with Electronic Arts on the new Facebook game, Outernauts. The adventure role-playing game will see you as part of the Outernaut force, charged with capturing and training aliens as you uncover a mystery while fighting evil corporations trying to take over the galaxy.

You'll be able to explore planets, get loot, and fight asynchronously alongside your friends because you finally caved into the pressure from all of the relentless game invites that keep cluttering up your notification feeds. NO I DON'T WANT TO JOIN KLOUT GODDAMMIT!

I'm digging the visuals, and it kind of sounds like Pokemon in space. Outernauts will be out this Summer on Facebook, with a beta coming soon.
