Insomniac crazy, opening its doors to you animals photo

If you're in the Burbank, California area, you might want to clear your schedule on October 23.

To celebrate the October 27 North American launch of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, the folks at Insomniac are opening the doors to the studio, and will be letting 120 people in to play the game a bit early. They'll also be giving away "rare" swag, food, and drinks. You want these things, so don't pretend like you don't.

The event will run from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and it's a first-come, first-serve thing. So get there early, because I've been there, and the place ain't that big. But it's pretty cool. Oh, and did I mention food, drinks, swag, and playing A Crack in Time before all of your friends*?

* Except me; I'm playing it now. Review coming soon!

I wouldn't be surprised if they're gonna give away more of those inflatable wrenches handed out at PAX. Those shits are pretty rare, and exceedingly awesome.

Can you tease us some more? A tiny first impression maybe? Something really really tiny?

Oh God I can't wait to play it!

@Takeshi:

I really can't say much of anything, or Insomniac will send Chimera to my house or something. I can say... umm... I really like Ratchet's hover boots. But I think I've said that about the previews I've played, and they're the in demo you can play at GameStops, so... yeah. I've got nothing. :(

Why is there so little coverage on the new R&C around the net? Such an awesome series!

Well sonofabitch. It finally pays off for me living in this town. Granted, it's midnight, but I'll just take a jaunt over there real quick to see if anyone's lined up yet...
