I love you Jordan, been playing this game all day. Sssooooo awesome! Haters need to stfu and buy this gem and find out for themselves. LOVE all the random pop culture references! And spying on every house I walk by lol. Nothing prepared me for how fun this game is. Great surprise!
I'm pretty gutted to find out that the game isn't region free. I'd love to see a PAL release but that whole business between Marvelous and Rising Star Games recently doesn't leave me with much hope.
I've been playing this for a few days now, and I have to say I really really like it. The gameplay is a tad slow, but the story is pretty interesting. There is a lot to do beyond the main story too, a whole open world aspect. The graphics are surprisingly solid for a budget game, as is the writing. For 20 bucks this is one of the best budget games I've played. And it's long too, I'm in episode 3 of 7 and already at 9 hours of play.
I bought it. I love it. It's really fresh and creative. Really awesome if your as into movies as I am. Lots of hidden references.

Picked it up last Thursday at Gamestop so bloody amazing. It's a ton of fun and one of the most interesting games to come out this generation for $20.00 you can't go wrong with it. Compared to how much more complex it is than a mainstream game it's kind of baffling that this game lasts longer than most of them.
If you don't see it on a store shelf, ask for it. I had to get mine under the counter.

Apparently a shit ton of content got cut after the developers got legal threats because the game was too similar to Twin Peaks.
Please get Jim to do a "Why Deadly Premonition is blatantly better than Heavy Rain." Since idiotic fanboys seem to like claiming DP is the 360's answer to Heavy Rain.
Damnit I knew there was a reason I went to Gamestop the other day. I ended up wandering around for half an hour trying to remember what I had come to pick up. Ended up just dropping my cash down for Bad Company 2. That was an acceptable conclusion to my trip, but now I must return to purchase this.
One more confirmation that Destructoid is the best gaming community on the internet. I, too, have been loving DP (wow, that sounds dirty). Every other site seems to be going out of its way to say that if you like this game then you're retarded. Thanks again, Dtoid, for letting me know there are others out there with good taste in games.

You get 50GS for every chapter you complete, plus 100 for completing on Easy, 150 on Medium, and 200 for hard. And 150 more for collecting all trading cards (which do appear on your map). No random "do x one hundred times" or anything, you just have to collect all collectibles and beat the game. I've heard that the difficulties do not stack though.
