From the French artist and animator who brought us Insanely Twisted Rabbits and the Saga of Rex comes this preview for his newest project, an indie shooter due out in 2008. No word yet on what platform this will rock, and I'm frankly having a hard time writing this post because coming up with clever things to say about something that looks good is incredibly difficult. Go on, try it. I'll be scanning the comments for your attempts at witty praise. Stickypig, who sent me this link, suggested that I compare this trailer to the one for Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, and work in some nastiness that way. And it's true, Shadow Planet's soothing linework and blooming movements cured me of the wracking cough that has plagued me ever since I spent a solid hour sobbing (and vomiting) hysterically after seeing the latest fewmet of crusted offal that clings to the haunch of the Alien franchise's flyblown corpse. Ah. It feels good to say mean things!

...Whoa.
Holy shits.
Well, add another shump to my must own game list.
Loco Roco + Tim Burton = Win
That's the coolest umbrella game I've ever seen in my life.
I fully approve of this trailer.
If this game were an ointment, liniment or cream, I would have no reservations about thoroughly slathering my nethers in it.
this looks awesome!!!!!! its like the lovechild of tim burton and shigeru miyamoto.
Meeting Michel Gagné at Comic Con 06 was one of the highlights of the show for me. I'd never seen his work or heard of him before, but I was instantly impressed by his diversity of styles. I bought Odd Numbers and he signed it with a lovely sketch. Still owe him a dollar, as I was short on cash and he let me buy it for a buck off about 15 minutes before the show ended.
Anyway, this looks beautiful, and I am excited.
It looks very nice and dark.
<3 Dimmu Borgir (the music).
Looks quite interesting.
Epic lulz right there.
I'm likin the style of it all.
this looks kinda...ARGGGG *smack* Glop* Clang* Thud* twitch-twitch*
yeah I just had a seizure...thanks godkow
When did Jack Skellington get a spaceship? A beautifully rendered awesome spaceship?
Ohhh, I bet Jasper Morello is the pilot

Wait. Didn't Dtoid hire you SPECIFICALLY for witty praise Eliza? I thought you and Florian secreted the stuff out of moist, protuberant jellysacks that swung lazily from your chins. What happened? Run out of juice?
As for the praise the really really simple, red on black, biotech fusion reminds me a lot of the city and robot design from Samurai Jack. The creatures seem to be made out of sludgy shadows that flop fake heel over head on slick psudopods.
Or I could just say "LOL DEFENDER". That works too.
Case in point.
OMG I love samurai jack. lol. not.
Please tell me this is not coming out on the Wii! And you don't stick the wiimote up your ass to spin the claw! Otherwise, awesome find Eliza!
Game looks fantastic. Can't wait.
I didn't realise you were such a talented artist Eliza, and this game looks pretty sw33t
Michel Gagné was born in Québec, Canada. As a young man, he studied animation at Sheridan College School of Visual Arts in Ontario, Canada.
^^^ From his BIO, I just typed his name into google and bam, hey, he's not from france. So I guess that france tag in this post is there for.....um....hey Penny Arcade! Who needs to check any facts on a blog! Look, COSPLAY! Better get back to the counter at EB, no time to make teh blogz111.
I loved Samurai Jack... :(
This game looks just like the art, too. Sweet..
bluemeep, I'd rub that shit on my nethers even if it weren't an ointment.
