Mortal Komabt is easily my favorite fighting game this generation so I look forward to any fighting game that Nether Realm studios. While it may not be as brutal as Mortal Kombat, I know it will be fun to beat the holy shit out of Superman as Green Lantern or Batman.
Not entirely sold on the costumes, and Batman kicking Grundy through a building was a bit over the top. But MK9 was sweet, and I'll give this a shot.
Didn't you know? Flash is the hottest shit there is, he destroys universes by running through them, makes his pants out of goes fast and shit like that. At least that's what I'm told.

On a more serious note, am I the only one who actually liked DC Universe vs. MK? Yeah it was disappointing to not see Superman rip Scorpion apart, but I found once I got deeper into the game, it was an actually pretty fun fighting game.

If it plays like MK9, I'm buying it, maybe with a price reduction. The emphasis on building/planet effects instead of fighting brings back memories of MKvDC, which isn't reassuring, but I'll reserve judgment until full gameplay is shown.

Hmm. Don't quite know what to think of this. I was hoping by the title that it would be an adventure game where you play villains as heroes against the Justice Lords, the evil, fascist alternates of DC's Justice League. A fighting game that just features DC characters doesn't really grab me. Still, I was naive not to expect a fighting game from Nether Realm.
Justice league is still the best super hero group and we all know it. Evil Justice league... that's a fighting game I can get behind. But we need Gorilla Grodd, Brainiac, and Joke character Toyman.
Injustice was a DC Otherworlds title drawn by Alex Ross in which the bad guys teamed up to take down the Justice League. The villains all had a nightmare where the planet was destroyed because the Justice League did ???? (not entirely clear on this part) and so the villains had to kill them before the planet went boom. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what story this is designed after.

So, this is part of the problem with DC games, is that they often require even greater suspension of belief than the price of admission for most comic book readers.
Everyone has to get power balanced around Superman, because that makes more SENSE than giving everyone some form of the ever-less-precious Kryptonite.
And for some reason, although the gaming community... AND the comic community... is totally okay with character resurrection and holy-fuck-what-were-you-smoking plotlines-- doing whatever story bullshit needs to be done to make it so Bats can actually punch Grundy without some sort of Cosmic Sledgehammer from Earth-209/pi or Flash not become an extraordinarily fast collection of blood particles when Superman flicks him and make the game FUN gets everyone basement-damp panties in a wad.

Solomon Grundy in a fighting game? Oh well that's just lovely. Love how silly this game looks. Over the top fun all around. Now if Lobo is in it I will be a very happy guy.

Harley Quinn and no Joker? Ha, not likely. As for the actual game, I need to see it in action before I make a choice. All I can say so far is that apart from Flash and Wonder Woman, I'm not diggin' the costumes too much. Still, MK9 was good, so I can have a pretty decent level of confidence with this.

No no no no no.....you're doing it wrong! An all DC fighter has so much potential (just as good as any Marvel fighter), but this is not the way...this looks about as interesting as watching dog shit dry-out. Coming from a DC fan, I am ashamed and saddened. I pray by some stroke of a miracle this doesn't suck total ass-smacky by time of release.

The Batman vs Grundy scene gives me the creeps. It brings memories of Armageddon and "everyone can do every fatality" ideas...
So I guess they solved the "how can we make a compelling fight between Batman and Superman" question by just turning everyone into Superman. Looks stupid. Makes me wonder if Bats is going to have laser vision too.
