Infernal: Hell's Vengeance is available, here's a trailer photo

Talk about coming out of nowhere. Playlogic International’s Xbox 360-exclusive title Infernal: Hell’s Vengeance is available in stores right now. It’s a budget-priced ($39.99) prequel to the 2007 PC-only title Infernal. We’re guessing Hell’s Vengeance is capitalizing on what the original title did right -- mindless action. Below the fold you can watch a launch trailer for the game featuring plenty of flames, violence and odd characters.

Have any of you picked this up yet? We’re set to the review the title, so consider it forthcoming. The original received above average scores. Most critics (this post made possible thanks to the poor man's research tool, Wikipedia) thought it was a decent shooter that needed more polish. It's certainly possible the kinks were ironed out for the sequel, so quit rolling your eyes. This thing could rock.

I liked the first one (played it through Gametap, so I never sought it out to buy it) but it was a very uneven experience. Cover mechanics were a little soft and it would jump from simple stealthy gunning to boss fights that consisted of being surrounded by unending waves of punks while trying to chip away at their shielded commander.

Still, if the reviews promise a more consistent experience, I may pick it up.

I've never even heard of this. If you guys give it a good review I might pick it up... $40 is never a bad deal for a game that's worth it.

Why are so many gamers and gamers obsessed with Hell and Demons and damnation and souls?

The titles are getting so cheesy as time goes on. Devil May Cry, Demon Stone, Devil kings, Devil Summoner, Infernal: Hells vengeance. The list could go on quite long but I'm in no mood to type combination's of the words Demon, Devil, Hell, Inferno, Damnation and soul over and over again.
Are these games titles made up by twelve year olds.

Burning Devil Inferno: Flaming Curse of Demons!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Calamansi

This is actually a port of a PC game that came out a few years ago, I remember reading about it and wanting to play it, now's my chance I guess.
