Quantcast

inFamous bundle to be available in the UK photo

It’s too awesome to be bogus*, mates. Sony is bundling copies of the electrifying open-world action title inFAMOUS with PlayStation 3s in the UK.

Available on May 29, the 80-gigabyte PS3 with a copy of inFAMOUS can be pre-purchased for a cool 279.99 via Amazon UK. The price is indeed slashed, but it appears that nothing was yanked out of the bundle -- the controller and cords are still being offered with the PS3, as is standard. (You never know.)

We asked a Sony representative if there was any chance this bundle would be made available in North America. We didn’t ask why the protagonist in Sucker Punch Productions’ upcoming game sounds like he’s been inhaling dust and smoking cigarettes for the last twenty years.

* We checked, although "awesome" should alway mean "confirmed."

you know, if the PS3 still had PS2 support, I would totally buy this, no doubt. now... I don't really think so.

I will never understand people's obsession over backwards-capability....

The playstation 2 is still about 50-60 pound here in the UK. So it was a nice perk, to have it included in the console. And chances are it'll look better up scaled over HDMI. Virtual memory cards are also handy.

When I first read it, I though it was 280 dollars. I nearly had a heart attack. But then I remembered this was the UK they're talking about. Good ol' pounds.

That's a damn good price! I had bought a 60G for $400 at the time it was launched. Of course, now it's a 250G with backwards compatibility... but I think for $120 off original price and 20G more, it's pretty good.
