I once played some UGC that was literally just you walking a few steps and picking up an item. The reason for this? So the guy could get whatever trophy it was for playing X amount of UGC

This is pretty and I'd like to see more encouragement towards user generate content. That being said I just can't get into this game, I played it at Electronics Boutique and it seemed like the kind of game I'd be all over if I was 15 but now kind of underwhelming.
In my experience the UGC stuff has been hit-or-miss, but it does give me an excuse to hold onto Infamous 2. I'm glad the update is free; I've always felt like LittleBigPlanet charging for level-building materials was skeevy, and I'm glad Sucker Punch hasn't gone in that direction yet.
UGC, no matter what the price is too high of a cost if it detracts from the single player game.

@Dv8thwonder Good thing inFAMOUS' 2 UGC is pretty well done then. You can shut it completely off if you hate it anyway, though.
@djratchet it is okay in my opinion. It could've been better off without it. They also never really provided any tutorials on how to do anything with it letting the players who spend a lot of time with it or who were in the beta to figure it out.
