Indie Game: The Movie bound for Sundance photo

Congratulations are in order for the makers of Indie Game: The Movie. Announced this week, it will be one of fourteen in the World Cinema Documentary Competition of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Following the movie's debut at the festival, the next showing will take place at Winnipeg in early February, with an eventual DVD and digital release sometime later. I've found every clip released so far to be captivating, though that's pretty expected given my interest in independent games.

Here's hoping less-informed viewers can connect on a similar level.

Masquerada is a very pretty Baldur's Gate-style RPG

Leading with the Dragon Age comparison probably would've gotten more eyes on this these days, huh? The Baldur's Gate reference point just makes the most sense, though, especially with the isometric view. And there are plenty...more
