Indie game 'Knytt Stories' has been released!
If you haven’t played the original Knytt yet, then what are you waiting for? It’s an incredible 2D platform game that you won’t want to miss out on. Plus, it’s free! The sequel to Knytt, Knytt Stories, includes a tutorial, a “save-the-world adventure,” and even a level editor. You might be thinking that the level editor will be too hard to figure out -- well it is, at first. But after reading this guide, you should be able to recreate the hardest levels from Mega Man 2 relatively easily.
While I can’t comment on the main adventure’s length (haven’t beaten it yet), I will say that based on what I've seen so far, Knytt Stories is worth checking out for anyone with a PC. It's seriously that much fun. Download Knytt Stories right here. [Thanks, Justin!] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)awesome. i recall knytt being posted here a long time ago. definitely a great game, and i'll have to check this out for sure. Kyntt and WaDF were two of the most fun games that I've ever played. They are simple (very much so in the case of Knytt) but remind me of the same fun feeling I had the first time I played zelda. Or tits. Knytt is awesome. Glad he didn't lose interest in making this sequel. Off to play it now. (well... the new one) EVERYBODY NEEDS TO PLAY CAVE STORY, BEST 2D-INDIE-GAME, EVER
CAVE STORY DELUXE Actually comming to PSP later on... the original knytt was nice, i quite liked the atmosphere in the different areas.
looking forward to playing this one. Knytt has a delicious N flavor to it, but I always have that confused sense of "Where the hell am I going?" every time I try to play it. Holy cow, this game is freaking awesome. Wish there more quality indie games like that :D Will try this Cave Story next. Awesome. I'll have to set up joy2key and plug in my super smartjoy to check this out on my new PC later. :] There is also an expansion containing 4 new levels already out on the official website, including one doozy so large it makes "The Machine" look like a kiddy pool. this game rules...right now i'm in the middle of making a map myself...thanks for the tip Dtoid...
also cox I think you have to head down and left from where you got the umbrella ... it's hard to remember. But yeah, I spent easily two hours messing around with maps. There are some really cool tile sets included. I love how it's like Knytt, but WAY cooler. The actual need to go out and collect power ups makes it much more of a progressive game instead of just random wandering. 8:00 PM on 05.04.2013 Beautiful Skyward Sword cover by the Super Piano BrothersYou've heard of the Super Guitar Bros., right?
