First look at Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series

Every time Telltale's Game of Thrones comes up, the prevailing comments are always the same: "When will we see what it looks like?" The answer to that question is "now," and the answer to the followup question is, "eh, it lo...

Holy summoned triceratops, Lost Ark looks fantastic

The video above is a little on the long side, but it is worth watching. It usually takes a lot to get me interested in anything fantasy-themed (more like Bored of the Rings, right?), but Lost Ark looks like it might be the e...

The Firefly Diary flies to PS Vita in February, 2015 photo
The Firefly Diary flies to PS Vita in February, 2015
by Kyle MacGregor

Nippon Ichi Software's htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary (yes, that's seriously the title) will launch on February 24, 2015 in North America and in Europe the very next day.

The PlayStation Vita puzzler follows a pair of fireflies helping guide a young girl through a maze of ruins. NIS president Sohei Niikawa has compared the title to an indie game in the past, it being an experimental project developed by a small team at the Disgaea studio.

The game will get a physical release via NISA's online shop exclusively in the United States.

Devolver Digital's new title Crossing Souls looks like an '80s cartoon

Part of me wishes that a game called Crossing Souls would be an Animal Crossing/Dark Souls crossover, but I am still pretty pleased with how Crossing Souls actually looks anyway. Will we ever get sick of the totally tubular ...

Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 opening film is just stunning

Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir may be crawling to Nintendo 3DS in Japan next week, but we still haven't heard anything about Atlus USA's plans for a western release.  Maybe we'll learn something after Persona Q comes stateside later this month. In the meantime, check out the Untold II's opening movie, courtesy of animation studio Madhouse. It's so pretty!

This seems like a bad title for a game, but it's Snot

I'll admit: I very nearly deleted the email about Snot without a second thought. How could a game named after nasal mucus be worth even a few seconds of my time? Still, I did my due diligence and played the video attached, a...

Akiba's Trip coming to PS4 on November 25 photo
Akiba's Trip coming to PS4 on November 25
by Kyle MacGregor

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed is coming to PlayStation 4 on November 25, XSEED Games unveiled today.

The otaku beat-'em-up arrived on PS3 and Vita back in August, and earned a favorable appraisal from our own Brittany Vincent. In her review, Brittany called the game "an interesting culture shock of a good time," recommending it to fans of quirky Japanese games.

The PS4 version vaunts a number of enhancements unseen in the original release, include upgraded visuals, a host of customization options, chat commands that can impact gameplay during livestreams, plus more dialogue scenes and folks walking around Akihabara.

It also bundles in all downloadable content released for the PS3 and Vita iterations as standard, but carries a slightly more expensive price tag at $50.

Hahah okay: ThumbderDome Wrestling is about thumb wrestling

Uncanny Valley, that promising survival horror game with the medical posters on the wall, has released a fun little Halloween video. There is a game within the game, an arcade cabinet called Anarchy Man, which you can totally play while you're playing the game. Of course, this may not be the best idea in a horror game...
