New Resident Evil HD remake priced and dated, and it's cheap! photo
New Resident Evil HD remake priced and dated, and it's cheap!
by Chris Carter

Capcom has just sent word over that Resident Evil remake will be available on January 20, 2015, for $19.99. It'll hit the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One "all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft" (bwahaha they still have to do this with their PR).

For those of you who don't remember, this is a digital-only release, and will sport 1080p for current-gen consoles and 720p for past-generation systems. You'll also be able to flip between the 4:3 ratio or 16:9 widescreen options.

Yep, I'm in.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's second piece of DLC is out December 16

2K Games announced today the second DLC pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and as with the first pack, it is commendable in some ways but disappointing in others. In The Holodome Onslaught, Axton and Gaige join the crew in...

This is Saints Row: Gat out of Hell's musical number

"It's a whimsical, weird fucking game," former Volition creative director Steve Jaros said of Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell when I spoke with him about the Disney-inspired standalone expansion. It's true: there's a musical num...

Because Australia: Target to stop selling GTA V down under

Anyone that knows anything about the videogame scene in Australia is well aware that the land down under has strict content regulations and often times outright bans titles. Yet another videogame has been deemed unfit for the...

Payday doesn't have much to be thankful for in its Christmas carol

Crime doesn't have a slow season. You strike when opportunity presents itself. If that means getting your ass out of bed on Christmas morning and proverbially crossing the Delaware River, you do it. But, all that doesn't mea...

Here are some day-one thoughts on The Crew photo
Here are some day-one thoughts on The Crew
by Chris Carter

Ubisoft recently notified the press that it wasn't going to send out early copies of The Crew. Instead, critics would have to experience everything at launch and beyond, meaning there would be no reviews for the game at release. That's a bummer for anyone who pre-ordered and has no idea of what to expect.

But fear not, as Brittany Vincent and I have obtained copies of The Crew, and while she's hard at work giving you the full rundown in the future, I'm here to give a few quick thoughts for all of you who haven't picked up your pre-orders yet.

Here are nearly 80 Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice screenshots

Another Telltale game, another set of screenshots. I'm still ambivalent about the oil paint aesthetic used in Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series. Some shots look fantastic, and others are blurry messes with weird kaleido...

Review: Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series: Iron From Ice photo
Review: Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series: Iron From Ice
by Darren Nakamura

The War of the Five Kings might be one of the bleakest collections of events in A Song of Ice and Fire, the series on which HBO's and Telltale's Game of Thrones is based. The entire continent of Westeros is at war, heroes are slain, villains rise to power, and it is around this point that many readers and viewers finally accept that everything will probably not be okay (to put it lightly).

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series takes place toward the end of the conflict, but that does not mean everyone is safe. The kingdom is undergoing a restructuring of sorts, and those who were allied with the losing factions walk a thin line between loyalty and destruction. House Forrester of Ironrath in the North is one such clan, caught up in a conflict much greater than itself, struggling just to survive.

[Note: spoilers for the source material and events during the prologue of this episode are present in this review. Proceed with caution if you have not yet finished A Storm of Swords (Book Three) or Season Three of the HBO series.]

We first heard that Telltale would be working on a Game of Thrones adventure game almost a year ago at VGX, and now the wait to see how it turned out is almost over. This launch trailer shows a bit more than the teaser we sa...

If you see this armor in Call of Duty, you're gonna die

This cancelled Dirty Harry game was a wonderful, terrible idea

Back in the mid-2000s, Warner Bros. was planning on bringing Clint Eastwood's iconic, brutality-friendly policeman Dirty Harry back to life in videogame form on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and even the DS. Eastwood had agree...

SSX, Worms Battlegrounds free with Xbox Live Gold in December photo
SSX, Worms Battlegrounds free with Xbox Live Gold in December
by Jordan Devore

November is almost over, which means more free-with-Xbox-Live-Gold games to look at and hopefully remember to download once they're actually available.

Throughout December, Xbox One users with a paid subscription can nab Worms Battlegrounds at no extra charge. Xbox 360 players can claim The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (*shrugs*) from December 1 - 15, and then SSX from December 15 - 31.

I've cooled on SSX over the years (the 2012 title, I mean, not the whole series; SSX Tricky is still in the running for my desert-island game of choice) but for free, yeah, it's worth playing.

As for The Raven, it's an episodic crime adventure from King Art Games set in 1960s Paris. But, more importantly, there's this screenshot:

Why is Ryu a wolf in the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV DLC?
