DTOID News: Arkham Knights, Watchdogs, Goats and Ninja Turtles
by Max Scoville

Today, I can finally talk about my impressions of Batman: Arkham Knight, which I saw back and GDC. There’s some new stuff about Watchdogs that’s actually gotten my attention, Sonic has Zelda-themed DLC, Fulgore’s in Killer Instinct finally, Goat Simulator rules, and Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks exactly as idiotic as a reasonable person would expect such a thing to be.

Watch Dogs' digital Chicago explored in new trailer

A look at Watch Dogs' PlayStation-exclusive content

It's been known for a long time now that the PlayStation 3 and PS4 versions of Watch Dogs would get a little something extra and here's a good -- possibly even great -- look at that content. As far as trailers for the game g...

Ubisoft used the Watch Dogs delay to add new content

Remember how Watch Dogs didn't launch alongside the new consoles like it was supposed to? Nah, you've probably forgotten by now. Anyway, it looks like something good's going to come out of that delay apart from, you know...

Ubisoft: It'll take the average player 35-40 hours to beat Watch Dogs

Do we still care about game lengths? Really, truly care? (I say "we" as if we're some sort of hive mind, which obviously and thankfully isn't the case.) Probing for Watch Dogs information on Twitter, a fan asked how long it w...

Ubisoft 'forced' Watch Dogs E3 reveal, minimum PC specs defined

"They forced us to go at E3 2012," Watch Dogs Creative Director Jonathan Morin said in an interview with Edge. "Yves [Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft] was the one who wanted us to go at that E3, even though we felt it was a bit ear...

Early arrival in Chicago? Watch Dogs may be getting a closed beta

It didn't take any sort of elite level hacking skills or espionage database infiltration, just a keen eye to find out that Watch Dogs appears set to have a closed beta on Xbox One before its May 27 release. A listing for...

Arkham Knight, Goat Simulator, Shaq-Fu 2 & The Last of Us: The Movie photo
Arkham Knight, Goat Simulator, Shaq-Fu 2 & The Last of Us: The Movie
by Max Scoville

Sweet Christmas do we have some great news about video games today!

Let’s see… My previews for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes went up, a new Batman game was announced by Rocksteady, Batman: Arkham Knight, Watch Dogs finally has a release date, and there’s a new Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer. On a less fun note, Mad Catz announced a partnership with Ouya, and on a downright depressing note, Disney Interactive has laid off 700 employees.

However, there’s a bunch of crazy weird news: Shaq-Fu is (hopefully) getting a sequel, Goat Simulator is going to be an actual game, and Akiba’s Trip 2, a Japanese game about punching vampires till their clothes come off, will actually be released in the west. Finally, a couple pieces of movie news: there’s feature film in the works based on The Last of Us, which seems sort of redundant to me, but that new Transformers movie involves Optimus Prime living in Mark Wahlberg’s barn, which is even more ridiculous than robot dinosaurs.

Watch Dogs will be late on Wii U to 'make full use of the platform'

I'm increasingly of the opinion that nothing short of a miracle will save the delayed Wii U version of the already-delayed Watch Dogs. Ubisoft announced a May 27, 2014 release date for every other version of the game today. W...

You can still get a Watch Dogs PS4 bundle (in Europe)

Watch Dogs finally has a new release date -- May 27. That trailer also seems to have a bit of new information unless I'd just forgotten it. Typically, the lead's wife is killed and that's the impetus for revenge. There's a G...

Ubisoft has confirmed a release date for Watch Dogs after its massive delay, and it's May 27th, 2014. This date is only for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One versions of the game though, since the Wii U edition i...

Dumb Idiot Ideas: I want Hackers DLC for Watchdogs photo
Dumb Idiot Ideas: I want Hackers DLC for Watchdogs
by Max Scoville

About this time last year, Watchdogs was looking like a major contender for my 2013 GOTY. However, here we are almost a quarter of the way through 2014, and I still haven't gotten my hands on the game, so I've been forced to entertain myself with my own stupid imagination. Today, my stupid imagination conjured up the desire to see Watchdogs DLC based on the 1995 film Hackers, and unfortunately, I decided to make a video about it.
