We started pondering metaverse theory because AssCreed Unity is boring photo
We started pondering metaverse theory because AssCreed Unity is boring
by Bill Zoeker

Max and I were fighting to stay awake through the beginning of Assassin's Creed Unity, and Max posited a theory that many Ubisoft published games exist in the same universe. Then we saw a fancy boy and a pig and at least had something to joke about for a while.

Hey, it's the first hour of Far Cry 4!

Far Cry 4 is a game I've been looking forward to since ages ago -- and now, it's finally something I can play. Poorly. Here you go, watch us flounder. Go on, we're a mess.

Review: Far Cry 4 photo
Review: Far Cry 4

Far Cry 3 was one of my favorite games of 2012. It didn't stray too far from the normal sandbox conventions set before it, but gallivanting around beautiful island vistas and flying about with wingsuits was pretty damn fun.

For some that wasn't enough, though, and for those folks, Far Cry 4 won't be enough either. But for me, it's still pretty damn fun.

We played Assassin's Creed Unity, and it was doomed from the start photo
We played Assassin's Creed Unity, and it was doomed from the start
by Bill Zoeker

Oh boy... Max and I jumped into Assassin's Creed Unity. Max started out cautiously excited at what this new iteration might bring, while I have never been at all interested in the series. It's not long before both of our sentiments landed at the same astonished disappointment. Trust me, it only gets uglier from here.

Review: Assassin's Creed Rogue photo
Review: Assassin's Creed Rogue
by Brett Makedonski

Ever since its 2007 debut, the Assassin's Creed franchise has been presented as a one-sided affair. Chronicling the persistent struggle between the Assassins and the Templars, Ubisoft has always framed the story casting the former in a positive light. Assassin's Creed Rogue has a new take on that formula, which, in some ways, makes it the most refreshing, thought-provoking, and introspective installment in the series to date.

Unfortunately, it's also the laziest.

Ubisoft is well aware of Assassin's Creed Unity issues

Assassin's Creed Unity is a bit of a train wreck at the moment. The Parisian playground is plagued with a myriad of glitches, most of which aren't as fun or hilarious as the nightmare fuel pictured above. Understandably, many...

Far Cry 4 has more naked boobs but also a lil dick! photo
Far Cry 4 has more naked boobs but also a lil dick!
by Steven Hansen

Far Cry's new thing seems to be free flowing painted/tribal tits, nipple slips be damned, and those feature prominently in this video. But if you stick around, you'll see that there is also a little, flaccid penis!

I never let a dick get by me. I was first on the scene at Capcom's potential $30,000 gold cat dick and I swallowed followed that story as best I could from the other side of the world and exposed that it, in fact, was not a lil dick.

But this? Certifiable dick with insurmountable video evidence. Makes my job easier

Let's watch Assassin's Creed Unity glitch out to the tune of 'Barbie Girl'

Kyle sent me this compilation of Assassin's Creed Unity glitches and, six minutes later, I'm calling it: I've spent more time watching these games mess up than I have playing them. When they screw up, they tend to do so spectacularly. Best glitch happens at 4:26.

Ubisoft: Far Cry 4: Blood Dragon 2 isn't happening

Don't expect a Blood Dragon spin-off for Far Cry 4, says Ubisoft producer Alex Hutchinson. "No. The answer is no, you won't get another one of those," Hutchinson told IGN Australia. "But hopefully we'll be able to come up with something that surprises you just as much." Pubcast Happy Hour 10: Far Cry 4 Special [IGN via Game Informer]

This Far Cry 4 '101' trailer tells you everything you need to know photo
This Far Cry 4 '101' trailer tells you everything you need to know
by Chris Carter

This new Far Cry 4 trailer highlights the entire premise in detail (more than the actual start of the game does), and shows you pretty much every major character, weapon, and item in the game.

If you're already interested and know you're getting it, I'd skip the video. It definitely spoils some surprises, especially the reveals of a few villains. I would say more, but you can expect our review of Far Cry 4 this week.

Assassin's Creed Unity really nails those next-gen glitches

Or, maybe this guy's not a glitch. Maybe he's an assassin sent with a darker purpose. Maybe he's supposed to infiltrate your nightmares and make sure you never sleep soundly again. Kudos to you, Assassin Brotherhood; you've found a way to inflict a punishment more terrifying than death.

Review: Assassin's Creed Unity photo
Review: Assassin's Creed Unity
by Chris Carter

Assassin's Creed IV was a turning point for the series. While a lot of fans were disappointed by the pointless Revelations and the polarizing Assassin's Creed III, Black Flag delivered everything you could possibly want from Ubisoft, and then some. Fans embarked on quite the adventure with Edward Kenway, and many newcomers even described it as "a pirate game that happens to be Assassin's Creed."

Assassin's Creed Unity doesn't live up to the new standard set by Black Flag, but it's a journey worth taking if you're already into the series, and proves that the franchise is still sustainable.

Conan O'Brien wants to send AC Unity's assassin right to the orphanage

Ubisoft's upcoming releases back on Steam (except in the UK)

Last week, Ubisoft pulled its upcoming games--F4r Cry, Assassin's Creed Unity, and The Crew--from Steam. This allowed me to roll with a headline, "Going hard in the Uplaynt," a play on "going hard in the paint" and ...
