Nice! Housemarque's Outland is coming to Steam

Back in 2011, Super Stardust HD and Resogun developer Housemarque released an action-platformer called Outland for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. It's coming to Steam on September 29, priced at $9.99/£6,99, ...

This Far Cry 4 trailer is all about the elephants

Even when Far Cry 4 was officially nothing more than message-board rumors, I was all about the elephants. It's nice to see Ubisoft give the people want they want, then, by putting out a trailer that's devoted to these animal...

Watch Dogs: Bad Blood goes punk, features co-op play and new modes photo
Watch Dogs: Bad Blood goes punk, features co-op play and new modes
by Alessandro Fillari

Say what you will about Ubisoft, but they've got a knack for trying something a little different for their DLC offerings. After the incredibly successful launch of Watch Dogs back in May, it seemed like they've been biding their time with the release of some smaller DLC packs to one of their best-selling new titles. With so much content packed in Watch Dogs, I was curious to see how a single-player campaign DLC can stack up.

But now, it seems Ubisoft felt that four months was enough for players to explore the city of Chicago as Aiden Pearce. With a new playable character, a new set of tools, and new missions to dive into; players can see the streets of Chicago through a fresh perspective, and can even bring a friend along for the ride.

Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants hosted the organization's first-ever "Video Gamer Night" Wednesday ahead of a game with the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. Admission to the special event at AT&T Park came with...

Assassin's Creed bundle goes America all over everybody's ass

As if Ubisoft weren't unleashing enough Assassin's Creed on the world this fall with Unity and Rogue slated for November, it has one more trick up its sleeve to rope in some players with less familiarity of the...

Eye stabbing and whale watching in this new Assassin's Creed Rogue video

Just three days ago we got some new screens for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue, but it seems like Ubisoft is intent on releasing a slow trickle of media leading up to its November 11 release. Today, we have a video deta...

Of course we checked out Far Cry 4's elephant booty physics at PAX photo
Of course we checked out Far Cry 4's elephant booty physics at PAX
by Brett Makedonski

Prior to this video being shot, Max may have taken a double dose of the assorted pills that truckers use to drive 36 consecutive hours. I can't be sure. It wasn't my day to keep track of him.

But, the point you should take away from this is how realistic that elephant's ass (probably) looks. With booty physics like that, it's no wonder Far Cry 4 ended up as one of our top games of PAX Prime.

Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue PAX impressions photo
Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue PAX impressions
by Jordan Devore

I'm not sure how Max had this much energy in the middle of PAX Prime to speak in front of a camera about Assassin's Creed -- for over eight minutes, no less -- but he did. What a champ.

Conceptually, I like the sound of chasing (and being chased by) assassins in Rogue, and the return of naval combat with enhancements is pleasing. Same goes for the great auks.

Still, between the two, I imagine folks tend to be more interested in Unity, what with it being current-gen and all.

Toy Soldiers: War Chest is my kind of tower defense

The Toy Soldiers games were a blast on Xbox Live Arcade and I'm expecting more good things from Toy Soldiers: War Chest, coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One early next year. My favorite tower defense titles are the ones that let...
