What is even happening in this Beat Bros video?

I have watched the video above a couple of times now, but I still do not think I could describe Beat Bros accurately. It looks like developer Ultimate Walrus (of #Snake2 infamy) started making a rhythm-based Bomberman c...

Project Spark now in open beta on Xbox One

Project Spark is now in open beta on the Xbox One. Just pull it up from the store, install the game, and you're good to go. For any of you that have played Project Spark, what do you think of it? These type of games experiences always offer up a ton of potential, and some of the creations I've seen already made by the fans have been pretty damn impressive.

The devs of Glitchspace want to make programming fun and cool photo
The devs of Glitchspace want to make programming fun and cool
by Alessandro Fillari

One of the benefits of being at the Game Developers Conference is being able to meet the talent behind such inventive and quirky games. While many of the heavy hitters get most of the attention, there's plenty of other titles that will make you look twice. Many of which offer something a bit different and bizarre, such as Glitchspace.

Glitchspace is an action/adventure platformer focusing on emergent gameplay within a digital world. Currently released in paid Alpha form, players must trek through a series of devious and mind-bending puzzles that take advantage of the environment, while using your programming skills to traverse the ever changing landscape of cyberspace.

Yes, programming is a major part of the game, and it's actually fairly simple to use. Now before you freak out, you're not asked to type out lines of code on the spot, it's much more interesting than that. In Glitchspace, your character in the digital world possesses a gun that allows them to manipulate special glitched platforms and other objects in the world. You can assign special programmed 'objects' to these glitches, which can manipulate the properties of the environment.

Pixeljam's Glorkian Warrior looks like Galaga on crack

Luna's Wandering Stars rides physics through space puzzles

Using gravity to manipulate orbit and slingshot to a desired destination is always satisfying, in an "I could have been a NASA scientist" kind of way. With titles like Kerbal Space Program and Gravity Ghost, we've seen the m...

Unfair: Gorgeous Hohokum shows off the Fun Fair

Hohokum was the first game I played on PS4. The hectic din of the E3 show floor dulled as I lost myself in its beautiful world, flitting about with my kite snake, rescuing strange little people. It's all about exploration and getting lost and I love it. Now we just need a release date. Hohokum on, guys. I've been waiting patiently.

Odd music choice in the trailer can't dull my Dark Souls II hype

Dark Souls II trailers have been sort of weird. I suppose they're trying to not scare people away with the, "this is the hardest thing ever" shtick, opting to appear more accessible and hip. Don't care. One more day. Unless you're holing out for the PC version, bless your (dark) soul. That thing at 1:16.

Apparently Child of Light has co-op: Watch this beautiful trailer

At this point you could show me anything about Child of Light, Ubisoft's upcoming JRPG-inspired tale that's built with the same framework that bore Rayman Origins and Legends. I'm sold. Even if this "co-op trailer" doesn't s...
