No plans for Amiibo support for Hyrule Warriors

A few weeks ago, Patrick Hancock and I rambled off our hopes, fears, and predictions for the next Smash Bros. Somewhere in there was the idea that Ganondorf may not be playable, in part because of Smash Bros 4's focus on amii...

Hyrule Warriors GameStop-exclusive DLC finally confirmed

We've known that Hyrule Warriors will have some form of outfit DLC for some time (as well as how to get it in Japan), but info has been scarce in terms of how to grab it overseas. Well, this week the details have been sp...

Grass cutting CONFIRMED for Hyrule Warriors

Cutting grass is an important part of The Legend of Zelda, you know. So, we were happy to hear series producer Eiji Aonuma confirm during tonight's Nintendo Direct that this time-honored tradition would be making a glorious return in Hyrule Warriors. Who needs online multiplayer when you can chop up grass by your lonesome? Hyrule Warriors Direct [Nintendo]

Remember that Legend of Zelda Monopoly that was confirmed earlier this year? Well it's still a thing, and it's going to arrive on September 15 for $39.99. If you get it anywhere other than GameStop you're missing out on ...

The Majora's Mask fan project is coming along nicely photo
The Majora's Mask fan project is coming along nicely
by Chris Carter

Paco Martinez and Pablo Belmonte have been crafting an HD version of Majora's Mask for the past few years, and this new video is an update of sorts on all their hard work. Before you get too excited, this isn't supposed to be playable -- it's a proof of concept that is eventually meant to find its way to Nintendo to urge them to consider a true remake.

Either way, the art in the video is pretty stunning, and I'd love to see the pair work on their version proper at Nintendo.

Something's missing from Hyrule Warriors, Nintendo may have dropped the ball photo
Something's missing from Hyrule Warriors, Nintendo may have dropped the ball
by Bill Zoeker

Nintendo confirmed that Hyrule Warriors will not have an online co-op story mode. A lot of Zelda fans have been excited for this creative treatment of the series, but how much of a blow will this news be to the hype? If nothing else, this at least sucks a little.

Dark Link is just misunderstood, calls out others for being racist

Empathy. It's the ability to see and feel things from the perspective of others. Maybe if Hyrule weren't full of such selfish, closed-minded dicks, Dark Link wouldn't have the bad rap that he does.

Ocarina of Time was originally supposed to be a remake of Zelda II

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is considered a timeless classic, but it originally began as a remake of one of the most disliked Zelda titles (although my third favorite). Early on, Nintendo aimed to recreate...

How about if a bunch of Zelda characters were birds instead?

Stop it, Epona! Carrots aren't for birds! And poor Tingle -- I imagine all the other birds make fun of him because they fly around effortlessly, and he's tethered to a balloon. Birds are dumb jerks.

Link's outfit looks pretty badass in Monster Hunter 4
by Chris Carter

We've already known that Monster Hunter 4 has a very neat looking set of Link armor and weapon sets, but we haven't seen a whole lot of footage on them -- until this week that is, when Capcom unleashed a new trailer into the world.

Ok that's great -- but all people are thinking in the West is "are we getting it?!" Now we can finally answer that question with a resounding "yes," compliments of Capcom Unity. Yes -- the West will be getting Link's armor and weapon sets.

Confirmed: Link's weapons and armor are in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate [Capcom Unity]

Darunia will hammer all-comers

Most of the official trailers for Hyrule Warriors are short compilations showing off big and boisterous attacks. What they haven't shown is much of the game's overall flow and pacing. That's caused some to worry that Nintend...
