Is Capcom trolling with their on-disc DLC model?

The Street Fighter x Tekken DLC saga continues. Capcom has responded to fan rage (in this case, rage directed at the Better Business Bureau), and has outright said "There is effectively no distinction between the DLC being 'l...

GAME won't stock Street Fighter X Tekken, Asura's Wrath

The parade of indignity just hasn't stopped marching for the United Kingdom's biggest game retailer. Recently, GAME has had to announce that it couldn't stock The Last Story, nor could it sell Mass Effect 3. Now, Capcom revea...

Full DLC characters found on Street Fighter X Tekken disc photo
Full DLC characters found on Street Fighter X Tekken disc
by Jonathan Holmes

[Update: Looks like the full versions of the DLC characters (like Elena) are being unlocked on the 360 disc via hacking, as seen above. Sorry folks, but the video was already taken down, but now we have a videos from the same crazy dude featuring Lei, Bryan, Mega Man and Pac-Man. Watch it before it gets shut down too! A Cody and Guy video lies below. Thanks Eternal0Star and SuperNintendo!]

It's been a big weekend for Street Fighter X Tekken news, and a lot of it will be sure to infuriate anyone looking forward to buying the game on the Xbox 360. Other than the alternate costumes shown off on a recent live stream (including Ogre-Gill), it's all pretty much a slap in the face to 360 owners.

It's looking like the character models, prologues, and endings for most of the characters presumed to be DLC (including Elena, Guy, Alisa, Mega Man, Pac-Man and other fan favorites) for the Xbox 360 version of the game are actually on disc. The situation is still a bit muddy, as Capcom never formally announced that these characters will be paid DLC. They only announced that they would be introduced on the PS Vita and/or the PS3, and that all of the game's potential content would be eventually made available to everyone who buys the game (meaning that there won't be a special edition disc of the game later).

You've been found out, Capcom, and I don't think saying that this DLC has a "separate budget" is going to help you out of this one. If it has a separate budget, then why are some or all of the these characters available for free on Sony consoles? You'd do well to release all these character for free on all consoles when the time comes, lest your once loyal fans rage-quit your games in favor of Skullgirls, KoF XIII, BlazBlue, or any of the other great fighters out there.

All of the relatively-spoiler free endings (and two of the prologues that Eventhubs didn't post) for the 12 DLC characters can be found in this post. Watch them now before they get taken down!

Preview: Making zombie butts in Street Fighter X Tekken
by Wesley Ruscher

If there's one thing next month's Street Fighter X Tekken is trying to be, it's accessible. Besides combining one of the deepest fighting game casts -- since Capcom dabbled with the SNK crew -- the dream fighter is throwing in 4-player battle royals, a robust online package and enough customization options to satisfy even the finickiest of fans.

Amid the game's various customization options lies the Character Color Edit mode, which you can check out in our video preview above. While the mode is nowhere near as controversial (for now) as the Gem system or as in-depth as, say, SoulCalibur V's seemingly never ending Create-A-Soul mode, it does offer up quite a few hilarious outcomes with its basic coloring choices.

So sit back and enjoy our video breakdown of Street Fighter X Tekken's color editor, or at the very least to catch a glimpse of some pasty white Cammy buttocks.

Street Fighter X Tekken character reveal JACKPOT WAD

Crikey, Capcom wasn't pulling any punches with this trailer. The amount of character reveals here is bordering on goofy, and I'm loving it. Lather my body in hot goofs, Capcom! Make it rain with steaming goofs! First we have...

Street Fighter X Tekken: Pandora mode not above being cut photo
Street Fighter X Tekken: Pandora mode not above being cut
by Wesley Ruscher

I'm looking forward to Street Fighter X Tekken as much as the next fighting game fan. It's got a crazy roster with some straight out of left field characters, tag team action, and some ridiculous cross-up super moves. It's a dream collaboration of two of the most successful fighting game franchises ever created and on the top of my list for next year.

With another chance to bust some hadokens in the face of the Tekken roster and see the sultry -- still not sure if it's a man -- Poison in action last week, I was able to tinker around with the game's recently revealed Pandora mode.

"We're going to try to make Pandora more interesting or just cut it. I'm not above cutting it even though we just announced it."
