Heavy breathing and screaming man game hits 3DS in Japan

Growing up, games like Jungle Hunt, Pitfall, and Congo Bongo were the equivalent to today's "AAA experiences". It was just a given that people wanted to play games about defenseless men in the jungle avoiding outrageous deat...

We're playing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand live on Twitch!

Max Scoville and I thought it would be a good idea to get drunk and play 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, so we decided we will do exactly that, and stream it for you to watch live. We're stupidly drinking Bacardi and Vitamin Water in Fiddy's honor.  You can watch the stream here, or in the video player below.

Videogames Are Stupid! Watch Dtoid's PAX panel right here

We decided for this year's PAX Prime panel, we would let our very own Max Scoville just do whatever dumb garbage he wanted to come up with. The result was: "Videogames Are Stupid: The Inherit Silliness of the Medium." Enjoy this recording, in which the people running the panel A/V equipment at PAX managed to blow out the audio, and listen to us wing an hour of talking about how absurdly stupid our favorite form of entertainment is.

Max and I were joined by: Brian Altano, of IGN and The Comedy Button; Anthony Carboni, of We Have Concerns; Adam Kovic, from Machinima's Inside Gaming, and Jack DeVries, formerly at IGN and now something of an Internet vagrant.

Max and I thought it would be a good idea to keep everyone posted on our goings-on. This was spurned by many, many people wondering why we've been filming in Max's actual kitchen. We answer this question, and some y'all haven't even thought of yet.

In the video above, you can find out why Max went to Comic-Con for one day, why Max is going to be out of the country for two weeks, and who will be on our PAX Prime 2014 panel. Oh yeah, by the way, Destructoid is presenting a panel at PAX, hosted by Max, myself, and various personalities from around the internet.

Slender: The Arrival is coming to consoles, bringing new VHS-based terrors photo
Slender: The Arrival is coming to consoles, bringing new VHS-based terrors
by Bill Zoeker

Slender: The Arrival is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this year, and it's arriving with some added content (which owners of the game on PC will receive for free). Casey Lynch from Midnight City came by to play through one of the new levels with Max.

The level shown in the above video actually takes place on a VHS tape being viewed by another character from the game. It puts the player in the shoes of CR, who is investigated the disappearance of a child named Charlie Matheson.

Dumb Idiot Ideas: Reading comments from our Call of Duty video
by Bill Zoeker

Max and I were having a laugh at all of the stupid garbage comments on our recent breakout Call of Duty video, and thought it would be a good idea to share the laughter with our not stupid garbage viewers (you).

Live Show: Playing True Crime: Streets of LA

I got to thinking this weekend about what games I used to enjoy playing a lot, a bit of a nostalgia trip as it were. One game that would often pop up in my head is True Crime: Streets of LA. At first glance the game may decep...

Live Show: Playing some Nier to bring us into our weekend

Live Show: Sony's here with Hohokum and Helldivers

Have you guys seen Hohokum? Of course you have, it's the charming and beautiful game about everything and nothing. I realize that's not a very apt description, but there isn't really a better way to describe it. All we know i...

Videogames Clubhouse: Neon-Ninja-Strider time!

I had no idea that Strider was going to be as rad as it is. Leading up to release I expected a kind of meh platformer that was all style with no substance. Well I feel foolish. The neon-soaked ninja nonsense (alliteration) is...

Gentlemen's Club: We're giving away tons of Payday 2!

If you've been following my Twitter you know I'm absolutely head over heels for Payday 2. I came in expecting a crime themed Left 4 Dead-lite but what I got was one of my favorite co-op games. There' s something about plannin...

Videogame Clubhouse: We're giving away Hotline Miami

Goddamn do I love Hotline Miami. It's certainly the little game that could. It's bloodsoaked neon aesthetics and thumpin' soundtrack has made it one of few games I've beaten multiple times. Now, you can imagine my excitement ...
