Video of all 30 characters and 32 courses in Mario Kart 8

Nintendo has released all the cup and track names for Mario Kart 8, along with little video snippets of each track. Or you can watch this video by YouTuber Nintendomination that takes all the video previews and makes on giant 34-minute long video to save you the hassle.

Plus there's a video preview of all the playable characters too, along with a look at how, uh, lame the battle mode is now. Battle mode looks to take place on courses, which seems like it'll make the versus stuff more tedious than fun.

Mario Kart 8: What's old is new and what's new is old photo
Mario Kart 8: What's old is new and what's new is old
by Steven Hansen

Mario Kart 8 has unveiled two "new" characters. They are Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach. What the heck, right? You're probably rolling your eyes at the lack of surprise with Baby Rosalina (who's joining Baby Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy), but Pink Gold Peach?

Think Metal Mario, but a more precious, royal metal (gold) and then pink because femininity is pink even though I'm wearing a pink shirt right now and I am super manly. Seriously. I am eating a pound of salami and a half pound of cheese for lunch.

Best Buy offers gasoline as a Mario Kart 8 pre-order incentive

Retailers have really been stepping up their pre-order game lately. It used to be that plopping down money early for a title meant getting a character skin or some other half-assed, unimportant content. Between the likes of a...

Preview: Grid Autosport's San Francisco needs steeper hills photo
Preview: Grid Autosport's San Francisco needs steeper hills
by Steven Hansen

Hot on the heels of last year's GRID 2, Codemasters is coming back with GRID Autosport, a "celebration of pure, unadulterated motorsport." This is going to be less of an arcade racer than GRID 2 ended up being, but without drifting too far into stodgy simulation either.

We'll see if the middle ground pleases anyone on June 24. It did please me, though, despite the insurmountable damage I did to all of the cars. I am a much better driver in real life.

Review: Trials Fusion photo
Review: Trials Fusion
by Jordan Devore

There's nothing quite like Trials and, after several games in the popular racing/platforming series, fans know what to expect from developer RedLynx: more of the same.

Yes, there will be a stupid, amazing theme song you'll hate yourself for letting get stuck in your head. There will also be moments of immense frustration made bearable by the eventual satisfaction of clearing that one particularly devious obstacle. And there will be bitter leaderboard rivalries as you fight to shave milliseconds off your best times.

Trials Fusion represents all of these things, and more -- occasionally to its detriment.

Forza Motorsport 5 gets another free track tomorrow photo
Forza Motorsport 5 gets another free track tomorrow
by Jordan Devore

Additional tracks for Forza Motorsport 5 is a very good thing indeed, I think we can all agree. Especially when they're delivered as free DLC. Like the Road America track before it, Turn 10 is giving away another course, southern California's Long Beach Circuit, starting tomorrow.

As per usual with add-on tracks, Long Beach will be playable across all of Forza 5's modes. There's also a Long Beach Booster Pack containing five new vehicles on the way, although this is unsurprisingly only free for Car Pass owners. Those cars are: the 1977 Ford Coyote Gilmore77, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR, and the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P.

You might want to avoid The Crew if your internet is unstable

Ubisoft's upcoming "MMO RPG of racers" holds up to that comparison. If you lose your internet connection, even if you're playing solo, you'll be booted out to the title screen, creative director Julian Gerighty told VideoGame...

Huge open world and endless customization define The Crew photo
Huge open world and endless customization define The Crew
by Casey Baker

The developers of The Crew have an unusual take on their new IP that features fast cars, deep customization, and miles and miles of the United States to traverse across and race within. Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections insist that despite its trappings that would suggest an open world racing game in the same vein as the latest in the Need for Speed series or Forza Horizons, The Crew is actually an MMO RPG.

When first presented with this concept at a recent Ubisoft event, I was a little skeptical that a racing game could be classified as such, given that it doesn't necessarily involve giant monsters and upgradeable weapons, and certainly bears no fantastical setting. However, after getting an hour long hands-on with the new game and witnessing the number of ways that this separates itself from its ilk, I could definitely see how it could be deserving of this different classification.

In The Crew, your vastly upgradeable and customizable car is your weapon. The giant monster you perpetually battle is the road, in several different kinds of events and spanning a seemingly large storyline across five enormous regions of the United States.

And like all MMO RPG's, The Crew is so much better with friends.
