One last look at GTA Online heists ahead of next week's launch photo
One last look at GTA Online heists ahead of next week's launch
by Jordan Devore

For as long of a wait as it's been, I'm still enthusiastic about heists in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rockstar previously said that coming up with missions in which every player in the crew feels important at all times "turned out to be a lot more difficult than we originally thought [and] took several passes from scratch." Console players will find out if the studio succeeded come Tuesday.

Until then, here's a bunch of new screenshots, some of which show the heist planning stage.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World looks rough

Mmm. There's no getting around it: RollerCoaster Tycoon World looks bad. I thought my expectations for the graphics were reasonable -- I've seen screenshots and they seemed adequate, if dated -- but in motion everything has become clear. You'd think this would be more of an upgrade from RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 considering that released over a decade ago. How disappointing.

Evolve is getting a free 'Observer Mode,' I'm surprised it's not DLC

I've been playing Evolve off-and-on for the past few weeks, and I have to say I agree with Nic's middling review. I mean, I saw the warning signs very early after having a string of very boring matches, but I decided to...

Ether One confirmed for PS4, holy crap I still need to play this

Ether One reviewed wonderfully with our own Steven Hansen, and even though I wanted to try it, I put it at the back of my mind at the time. It looks like I'll get the chance to experience it once again on consoles, as d...

That Metal Gear Online trailer is still so dang good

Steven covered this well-edited footage of Metal Gear Online in December, but here it is again with commentary by online community manager Robert Peeler. Yep, that's good enough for me. The balloon-firing trap shown at 1:54 is the stuff of dreams. Same goes for the enchanting plush puppy. (At one point it was going to be a "real" dog, but the designers didn't want us to shoot that.)

Looks like Unreal Tournament is in capable hands photo
Looks like Unreal Tournament is in capable hands
by Jordan Devore

The new Unreal Tournament is going to look gorgeous once Epic and the community are finished working on it. Last I saw of the project, it had only just become "a game," and now here it is making real good use of Unreal Engine 4. According to Epic, the map shown in this video, Outpost 23, "sets our visual bar for where we would like to see Unreal Tournament continue moving forward."

You can download a pre-alpha build of the game (or simply follow its continued development) over here. It takes a certain type of person to be interested enough to want to do that, and I imagine said person is fully capable of destroying me in UT, so I'm going to pass for the time being.

Xbox One controller adapts, goes wireless on PC this year

At GDC 2015, Microsoft announced plans to release a wireless adapter for Xbox One controllers on Windows later this year. Great news, but we need dates, Phil Spencer. Specific dates! I had terrible luck with my wireless adapter for the Xbox 360 gamepad -- damn thing was spotty at best, non-functional at worst -- so here's hoping these new ones are an improvement.

Oh hey, this looks like the final Steam Controller

Let's guess how much the Nvidia Titan X will cost

During an Unreal Engine panel at the Game Developers Conference, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang showed up to announce the Titan X before handing the video card over to Epic's Tim Sweeney. Presumably, yesterday's Nvidia presentation was just too packed full of Nvidia Shield talk. The Titan X has a 12GB frame buffer and 8 billion transistors. How much is this thing gonna cost?
