How dumb will Heihachi's hair look running on Unreal 4?

For whatever reason, AOL accidentally let the cat out of the bag about Tekken 7, which is going to be running on Unreal Engine 4, and now we have a big ol' trailer for the game. Meanwhile, in a different game about guys with dumb hair hitting each other, Raiden has been revealed for Mortal Kombat X, and he seems to have a very loose understanding of what thunder can and can't block out.

EVO 2014 recap: Here's who won photo
EVO 2014 recap: Here's who won
by Jordan Devore

And just like that, another EVO has come and gone. What a weekend.

Despite not playing fighting games much myself, I'll never miss watching the year's big tournament. The audience's energy, the drama that unfolds on stage -- it never ceases to amaze.

If you missed out on the grand finals for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Ultra Street Fighter IV, or any of the other featured games, look no further.

You're gonna want to watch that BlazBlue final.

The cast of Mortal Kombat had an awesome looking reunion

I made someone's nuts explode in Mortal Kombat X

I've always felt like the videogame industry doesn't feel right without a Mortal Kombat. So many games are always striving to be these serious affairs, and it takes something like Mortal Kombat to remind people that oh right,...

Video: Mortal Kombat X is vile in all the right ways

Mortal Kombat 9 was a damn good fighting game, and a damn good game in general. According to Max and Bill, next year's Mortal Kombat X is shaping up to be more of that. Building on the foundation of MK9 and Injustice: Gods ...

Check out 10 minutes of Mortal Kombat X gameplay with Ed Boon

Even though Mortal Kombat X was officially announced, we hadn't really touched upon its specifics thus far in the midst of all things E3. Luckily, IGN sat down with NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon for a 10-minute gameplay d...

Mortal Kombat X looks more brutal than ever photo
Mortal Kombat X looks more brutal than ever
by Darren Nakamura

Just last week, Ed Boon announced Mortal Kombat X, but at the time we only had a few teaser images and a pre-rendered trailer to go on. At its E3 press conference today, Sony unveiled the first gameplay footage of the next title in the bloody fighting franchise, and it is pretty brutal.

Making a return are the X-ray shots of bone-smashing moves, but there are some novel elements shown too. Fighters can now interact with the environment in more meaningful ways than before. In the trailer, we see them swinging on tree branches, then later ripping the branches down to use as weapons. Of course, the result is a bloody mess.

Farts 'N' Crafts: Watch Dogs Vs. Mortal Kombat Vs. Garfield photo
Farts 'N' Crafts: Watch Dogs Vs. Mortal Kombat Vs. Garfield
by Max Scoville

Here on Farts 'N' Crafts, we tackle a lot of hard-hitting issues. And by hard-hitting issues, I specifically mean "bodily fluids," which is almost ironic considering the show's title. We've done dog feces, we've gone hedgehog vomit. This week, we have dog urine, and copious amounts of cat blood. Specifically, Garfield The Cat blood. I like cats, but Garfield is horrible. Please just watch the video so I can stop typing.

Tuesday Newsday: Mortal Kombat Ecks, Sonic Boom fizzles, and Homefront: The Revolution
by Bill Zoeker

There's a hot drizzle of news leading up to E3, and Max is here to suck it down and spit it back at you! A sequel to Homefront is actually happening, for some reason. Ed Boon officiates the new MK as Mortal Kombat X (as in Ecks Vs. Sever). Sonic Boom isn't very impressive, surprising no one. Battlefield: Hardline had leak of beta footage. And many, many more stories, which Max will tell you if you watch this video instead of just reading about it.

Killing and karnage: What I want from a new Mortal Kombat photo
Killing and karnage: What I want from a new Mortal Kombat
by Brittany Vincent

It's official. Mortal Kombat X is coming, and though we just got an extremely vague look at what it might showcase when it hits the scene, that's just not enough for me. I grew up on fatalities and the thrill of combat, and with a brand new entry into the series, there's plenty of room for change on the horizon.

I'm not talking a whole host of DLC fighters or any of that other nonsense. I'm talking real change -- the kind that can only come from surveying a loyal fanbase and implementing the changes that are being clamored for day in and day out. I can't speak for everyone as far as my own ideas for improvement go, but here are five things I want from a brand new Mortal Kombat.

What the Mortal Kombat X trailer tells us and hints at photo
What the Mortal Kombat X trailer tells us and hints at
by Patrick Hancock

Our first glimpse of Mortal Kombat X (MKX) came today in the form of a presumably CG teaser trailer. Some people don't think that the trailer served much of a purpose, since it didn't explicitly state what we can expect in the upcoming installment of the series.

Well, I do believe that some people said the same thing about the original Street Fighter IV trailer, which was subsequently dissected and found to reveal quite a bit about the game. Don't get me wrong, I hate modern-day trailers just as much as most. There have been times where I can't distinguish one trailer from another, or times where I don't know what game is being advertised until the very end, let alone what that game plays like.

If I've learned anything about videogames, it's that good developers never do anything on accident. This MKX trailer includes certain aspects which I don't think are just there to look pretty.
