Marvel vs Capcom

It was inevitable that Capcom would bring Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to the App Store. Enough people are going to pay up to make the port a success, despite our obligatory grumbling about games like this not translating particularly...
[Update: I originally wrote this all wrong and suggested games like UMvC3 would be free because I have shit for brains. I've fixed it all up now. Sorry about the original post being basically totally wrong and stupid. At...
Jeez. How many more copies of this game do you need? Capcom has us in a continual air juggle with these upgrades and re-releases lately, so it's easy to become indifferent to a new title with an old name. That said, even if y...
Bwahahaha! Bow before me, scrubs. No one can touch me at Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3! Okay, so that's not true. I suck. And I'm a sore loser on top of that. But, with the PlayStation Vita's touchscreen controls and a little...
This post is already way too much about me and way too little about the story, so how about we take that narcissism as far as we can and see what happens? I'm sad. I can't get keyboard-controlled Flash games to wor...
In this conversation from Destructoid's virtual office, I'm accompanied by Dale North, Jordan Devore and the charming Jonathan Holmes. We discuss how Nintendo is going to patch The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and how Holl...

Today, the Mash Tactics crew is getting its hands dirty in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Back before the original Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was out to the public, Jon Carnage boasted a 2nd place spot on the world leader board. An a...
When Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was released, fans jumped for joy at the long awaited return of the Marvel Vs. series. With the addition of brand new characters, a new mechanic called "X-factor," and the promise of even more charact...
So, about that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 -- it's got quite the opener. Having been tragically born without the fighting-game gene, I can't really do much with the series other than watch others play professionally. But I ...
Capcom didn't do a very good job keeping the full roster of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a secret from the gaming world when they announced the first four of twelve new characters back at San Diego Comic Con. For the sake of...
Galactus mode might be a silly excuse to smash the crap out of the cast of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but did you know its origins came to be from an old arcade hack? When talking to Capcom's Seth Killian about the mode an...
The imminent existence of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been the only thing stopping me from picking the original up. It's been a difficult road, but it will pay off soon. The new edition of the game -- with 12 new charac...
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be arriving on the PlayStation Vita as one of the many launch games for Sony's new handheld. I went hands-on in a couple of matches and, shocker, UMvC3 is pretty identical to the console...
[photo credits: fixelexif] On October 4th, our good friends over at iPlayWinner and Southtown Arcade teamed up with Capcom to stream an "invite-only" NorCal Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament. Many of the top players fro...
Pushing the fight against two universes one step further, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will have reversible cover art in North America. The default box art is the work of Capcom illustrator Shinkiro; on the other side is a co...
Last night, our man in Japan Dale North got to fiddle around with the PlayStation Vita and provided some excellent coverage. Just to make sure you don't miss any of it, we've collected all the goods in one handy little post. ...
[Update: Capcom's detailed the place and times now -- the event will take place at the Eyebeam Art and Technology Center (540 West 21st Street) between 6:00PM and 10:00PM! Have fun, New York City!] If you're in New York City,...
Capcom's already on the PS Vita train, having announced its support at E3 with Street Fighter x Tekken. Certainly it must have other games prepped for the handheld, and if an Amazon France listing is correct, Marvel vs. Capco...
You can't talk about the fighting game scene in America without mentioning Capcom's special combat adviser, Seth Killian. He's done it all, from competing in tournaments himself and organizing EVO, to working on Capcom'...
If you know me, you know that right now my favorite game to play is Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So when I had the opportunity to interview producer Ryota Niitsuma on the newly announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I jumped at tha...
Retailer GameStop is hoping you're hype enough to pre-order Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but is throwing in a bonus to make sure: the "Femme Fatale" costume pack. The package is supposedly "exclusive" to GameStop, and will f...

Another panel at EVO was the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 panel, which I was personally excited for. Being a huge Marvel vs. Capcom 3 fan, I wanted to see what Niitsuma-san had to say about this newly announced game. Serving ...
[Every Friday, Destructoid will pose topical a question to the community. Answer it if you want!] Earlier this morning I had a bit of sarcastic fun, but now is the time for serious business and a serious question. With all th...
Destructoid has uncovered some mindblowing news that will shock and awe the gaming community -- we have discovered, through serious JOURNALISM, that Capcom does not owe you Mega Man or any other character in Ultimate Marvel v...
I had a chance to chat with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma following the announcement of the game here in San Diego on the eve of Comic-Con 2011. He was surprisingly pretty upbeat for a guy that...
Many series fans wondered why Capcom decided to release a new disc instead of a downloadable update for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 after yesterday's announcement. Game producer Ryota Niitsuma told us that the March ...
Like a lot of gamers anticipating a big Marvel vs. Capcom 3 announcement today, I came away with mixed emotions after Capcom finally let loose details on Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 -- twelve new characters, some new stages...
Well, that was fast. The full roster of new characters for Capcom's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been revealed. The game was announced this morning, with only four characters revealed officially by Capcom. The leak comes directly from Capcom's official site, which didn't do a very good job of hiding character art for the remaining fighters on its own servers.
Later this year, Capcom will be updating another one of its popular fighting games with a new retail release. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is going to offer twelve more characters, eight additional stages, re-balanced gamepla...
He might not have invented the voice, but D.C. Douglas's Albert Wesker was likely the most memorable part of Resident Evil 5. He has provided the David Bowie-esque voice of the recurring antagonist since Resident Evil: The U...
Next week, during San Diego Comic-Con, at Capcom's Marvel vs Capcom panel we are told to expect "fantastic news" straight from producer Ryota Niitsuma. The event also promises a behind-the-scenes peek as well as a change to f...
This tip was sent in with the warning "The Capcom Girls calendar gets a little risqué with a picture of GIANT BUTTS..." They weren't kidding. For whatever reason, the artist behind the above picture of Morrigan and her...
There's a whole bunch of Marvel vs. Capcom merchandise coming our way. Companies like Mad Catz, Mad Engine, Philcos, Diamond Select, Hollywood Collectibles and UDON are making the goods for gamers, hot on the heels of Marvel ...
Poor Yoshinori Ono. The Capcom producer and the man behind games like Street Fighter IV and the upcoming Street Fighter x Tekken can't seem to keep a secret. Nearly all of the information for his projects seems to be leaked ahead of time, be it roster details, downloadable content, and more.  When asked how he feels about the early, unauthorized reveals, he's surprisingly torn.
It's MAHVEL BAYBEE! Where you at? Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds has shipped two million units worldwide, says Capcom. Series fans waited 11 years for this release if you consider that the second game was released in...
Disclaimer -- I wasn't originally going to post this video. I shot it the same week that Sagat and Pals review Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and within a few days after the game launched, most of the stuff about on how Marvel Vs. Cap...
Like I said earlier tonight, I ended PAX East on a good note. The last game I played was the excellent Resident Evil Mercenaries 3DS. The second to last game was Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, featuring unreleased characters Shuma Gor...
I'm so far from being convinced that this pic is legit. If you're going to leak unreleased content for a game, why would you ever leak just one pic, and why would that pic be of just the upper part of the screen? Why not shoo...
